Washington,D.C.- During the monthly ‘Conversations with Conservatives’ press event sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, Congressman Allen West was questioned about his recent comment that 80 members of the Democratic Progressive Caucus in Congress were Communists.

West took on the  reporter who asked the question by delivering a vintage Allen West historical smack-down to his question.

West then challenge anyone to have a debate with him about political ideology.

I don’t regret it whatsoever.”  I think that if you were to take the time to study the politcal spectrum of ideologies, you would understand that at the turn of the century, American Communists renamed  themselves as Progressives.  There is a very thin line between Communism, Progressivism, Marxism, Socialism, or even as Mark Levin has said, Statism.- Congressman Allen West
