This firm is being wrongly persecuted for Dan Cathy’s biblical stand on marriage!
| Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy and his organization are under assault for Cathy’s “controversial” statement supporting the Biblical view of marriage as being between a man and a woman: “We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”
So-called “Gay Rights” advocates are calling for boycotts, “kiss-ins,” and other anti-Chick-Fil-A protests. Thankfully, counter protests are also being planned. But Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Chicago Alderman Proco “Joe” Moreno, supported by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, have crossed the line by refusing to allow Chick-Fil-A businesses to open in their respective jurisdictions. This is an all-out assault on the Chick-Fil-A Corporation and an attack on the First Amendment rights of Dan Cathy as an American citizen! Liberty Counsel’s new petition declares that…“we support Dan Cathy’s First Amendment rights – and we endorse his stand on biblically defined marriage! The LC petition will be delivered to the Chick-Fil-A corporate headquarters in Atlanta; the offices of Boston Mayor Tom Menino; Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Alderman Proco Moreno – and we will add deliveries as called for in emerging oppressive tactics by government officials or organizations against the Chick-Fil-A enterprises. |
