Unlike Obama, Trump Lights White House Blue to Honor Law Enforcement.

President Donald Trump followed up his campaign rhetoric with action; this time, he lit up the White House with the color blue to honor law enforcement officers. He called himself the “law and order” candidate on the campaign trail, earning the endorsement of the largest police officers’ union, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).

Trump’s wife and First Lady, Melania Trump, tweeted out a photo of the White House lit up in blue:

On the other hand, Trump’s predecessor lit up the White House in a rainbow pattern to celebrate the Obergefell gay marriage decision from the Supreme Court. But, when law enforcement officers asked him to light up the White House after the Dallas, Texas shooting that killed five police officers, he declined. Instead, Obama flew flags at half-mast.
