The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), a federal agency created in 1965, has funded a nationwide program called Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys. The program includes a collection of 25 books and three films to familiarize Americans with the people, places, history, faith, and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world. This program is being supported by the American Library Association. The University of West Florida, along with 953 institutions in the nation, was awarded this collection. According to the press release of the NEH of May 22, 2013, the agency gave grants to 54 public libraries, 47 academic libraries, 11 community college libraries, and 13 state humanities councils in 38 states and the District of Columbia.
Jerry Gordon wrote an article entitled “National Endowment for the Humanities Funds American Muslim Awareness Program” which was recently published in the New England Review. Gordon explained that he received an invitation to attend the reception at the University of West Florida for this program. He explained that the Muslim Awareness Program at the University of West Florida was co-sponsored by the Bangladeshi Students Association and the local chapter of the Muslim Students Association (MSA).
The Muslim Students Association is a Muslim Brotherhood front that has 600 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. Former leaders of MSA chapters include Anwar al-Awlaki, who was president of the chapter at a Colorado university. Anwar al-Awlaki was later killed by one of our drones in Yemen. He was the spiritual leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and inspired Islamic radicals in our nation to attack us, such as Army Major Hasan Nidal. This Islamic terrorist traitor was recently sentenced to death for assassinating soldiers and injuring many others at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas. Other active members of the MSA chapters in the United States were co-founders and members of al Qaeda. The MSA has a long history of being anti-Israel and anti-Semitic. Muslim Brotherhood-connected Huma Abedin, who served with former secretary of state Hillary Clinton in the State Department, was also a leader of the Muslim Students Association at her university in Washington, D. C.
The Israeli ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, was invited to give a speech at the University of California at Irvine on February 8, 2010. The ambassador’s speech was disrupted by 11 radical Islamist members of the MSA chapter at that university. The Orange County, California District attorney indicted these students for denying the ambassador the right of free speech. MSA chapters frequently invite radical Islamists to preach hatred against Israel at the colleges and universities where they have been established. The best students of the MSA are recruited for membership in the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States. It is quite unfortunate that our colleges and universities allow chapters of the MSA to be established without any type of supervision as to their activities.
Gordon stated that an official of the American Library Association at the 2012 annual conference interviewed Professor Kambiz GhaneaBassiri about the Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys bookshelf. The professor said during the interview that Muslims participated in the colonial era of America. No one challenged the tendency to lie and disinformation by this Muslim professor. Of course, President Barack Obama said the very same thing in his famous speech given in Cairo, Egypt, where he insisted that members of Muslim Brotherhood be in the audience. Obama said at the time that our nation is not a Judeo-Christian one, which of course, is completely false. He also said that Muslims have been involved in United States history from the very beginning. How many Muslims do you know came in the Mayflower? How many Muslims founded any of the original 13 colonies? How many Muslims fought in the American Revolution?
The other sponsor, as explained by Gordon, at the University of West Florida Muslim Journey series is the Islamic Center of Northwest Florida. This organization ignored several letters sent by a former Muslim, Nonine Darwish, Executive Director of an organization called Former Muslims United. At news conference in Tallahassee, Florida in March 2010, Darwish explained the following: “Overwhelmingly, Florida Muslim leaders do not honor freedom to choose one’s beliefs as guaranteed under the First Amendment. That is the only conclusion we can draw from the overwhelming silence and non-response to 47 letters containing a Freedom Pledge sent to Florida Muslim leaders by our organization in February 2010.”
Among the books included in the NEH Muslim Awareness Program is a book written by Dr. Ingrid Mattson entitled The Story of the Koran: its History and Place in Muslim Life. Who is Ingrid Mattson? Dr. Mattson is the former president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and now teaches at the University of Western Ontario. ISNA is one of the largest of several Muslim Brotherhood fronts, that was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008 Dallas federal trial which convicted the leaders of the Muslim charity, the Holy Land Foundation. This foundation gave $35 million to Hamas, the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood organization in Gaza, to which President Obama provides millions each year. Why indict these Islamic radicals when our own president is sending Hamas millions in foreign aid? Who is going to indict President Barack Obama for sending foreign aid to a terrorist organization in Gaza? Why is Congress sleeping and tolerating these actions by an out-of-control president? Why is Congress not investigating Barack Obama´s brother Malik Obama who works for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Sudan?
The Palestinian Authority is openly admitting that the Hamas-led government in Gaza is using dollars to fund terrorism. Recently, the Palestinian Authority received a grant of a $48 million from the United States. The Palestinian Authority allocated in August 2013 $15 million for the so-called “Dignified Life Grants”, as explained by Javier Manjarres, writer of the website Shark Tank in an article published on September 7, 2013. These funds would go to more than 5,000 ex-prisoners who were released recently from prison by Israel to show good faith in the Middle East peace process negotiations.
None of this should surprise us. Barack Obama has deliberately allowed members of the Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate his government and has appointed some of them to import government jobs. Additionally, President Obama has allowed members of the Muslim Brotherhood to rewrite the manuals dealing with Islam and the Koran for the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security. Many retired high ranking generals and admirals have denounced the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood in the government as well as the rewriting of the Pentagon manuals in order to purge any critical references to Islam.
It is about time the American public wakes up and demands that Congress start a major investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the government. This infiltration is what the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States calls the stealth jihad. Its objective is the destruction of our Constitution and the establishment of Sharia law in our nation. The long-term objective of the Muslim Brotherhood is establishment of a worldwide Caliphate to subjugate all nonbelievers of Islam, when would be treated as slaves or killed. Information suppression is the first step on the road to conquering the United States and the West. Unfortunately, the Muslim Brotherhood has been quite successful in this first step.
