The House voted to defund ObamaCare, but the Senate will not accept the bill as is and will send the bill back to the house with an amendment to add funding for ObamaCare. The Republicans in the House must not accept the funding of ObamaCare and should pass a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government after September 30.
Under the strategy, funding the government past the September 30 end of the Fiscal Year will be conditional on defunding ObamaCare.
Speaker Boehner said… “The law’s a train wreck. It’s time to protect American families from this unworkable law.” Senator Ted Cruz made an all night un-presedented speech against ObamaCare trying to give time to Republican Senators to make their mind up and support the defunding of ObamaCare.
President Obama has said he will not cave to the House GOP’s demands, which means that if the Senate strips the defunding of ObamaCare language from the House Continuing Resolution bill, the government will run out of money at the end of this month.
