So-called black leaders have been comparing the rejection of ObamaCare to the rejection of a black president. To vote against ObamaCare is a vote against African Americans. That’s the liberal mantra.
At the Values Voter Summit, Dr. Ben Carson told it like it is. ObamaCare “is slavery because it aims to make all of us subservient to the government. It was never about health care. It was about control.”
He’ll be called an Oreo, black on the outside and white on the inside, and an Uncle Tom, a tool of the white establishment — a “house negro.”
Dr. Carson should be a role model for young people of all races and backgrounds. Instead, he’s derided by white and black liberals.
Liberals need victims for the government to grow. Dr. Carson refused to be a victim and became one of the nation’s top surgeons. He was loved as long as he kept his mouth shut about politics. As soon as he spoke against leftist policies, he was denigrated as just another black man who sold out his people to the white establishment.
It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to understand the consequences of socialized medicine. “Socialized medicine is the keystone in the establishment of a socialist state,” Dr. Carson told the audience of some 2,000 attendees at the Summit.
How do you know you’re on the road to serfdom? “When people in the executive and legislative branch don’t have to participate, but everybody else has to, ‘that’s not America, that’s Russia.’”
In a surprising development, PBS’s Travis Smiley, who is also black, said the following after Sean Hannity asked Smiley if “black Americans [are] better off five years into the Obama presidency”:
“Let me answer your question very forthrightly. No, they are not. The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category. On that regard, the president ought to be held responsible.
“But here’s the other side. I respect the president. I will protect the president. “And I will correct the president. He’s right on this government shutdown. Republicans are thwarting the rule of law with the Constitution. If they let this debt go into default, they’re trampling again on the Constitution.”
There’s a lesson here. Dr. Carson is not afraid to speak out no matter what the consequences. Smiley is in political protection mode. The liberal mafia will put a “hit” on him if he says too much.
He can never say that Emperor Obama has no clothes, especially if he wants to keep his job at PBS.
