With a smoking gun implicating the White House as complicit in the Benghazi cover-up, coupled with their lies and stonewalling, House Speaker John Boehner says he has the House vote on the establishment of a Select Committee to investigate the deadly attacks and scandal.
House Speaker John Boehner says he will call on the House of Representatives to vote on the appointment of a Select Committee for a coordinated investigation with subpoena power.
“In light of these new developments, the House will vote to establish a new select committee to investigate the attack, provide the necessary accountability, and ensure justice is finally served,”
We now have a smoking gun exposing the White House’s role in the cover-up and distortions.
Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Judicial Watch has uncovered the email between Ben Rhodes then-White House deputy strategic communications adviser, to a dozen White House insiders, including White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and then-White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer. The email reveals that the talking points were to prevent implications that the attacks were the result of Obama policy failures.
Today, Congressman Darrel Issa, Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee issued a subpoena to Secretary of State John Kerry to appear before the committee for what appears to be a “disturbing disregard for the Department’s legal obligations to Congress… Compliance with a subpoena for documents is not a game.”
Congressman Frank Wolf, who has championed the call for a Select Committee, wrote to Speaker Boehner earlier this week
“It is now abundantly clear that senior White House staff were directly involved in coordinating the messaging in response to the Benghazi attacks and were actively working to tie the reason to the infamous Internet video.
While we cannot control how this administration pursues, or fails to pursue, those terrorists responsible for the deaths of four Americans, we can ensure that the American people learn the truth about what happened and which officials should be held accountable.”

Within months of the attacks on Benghazi and the reelection of Barack Obama, it became apparent that the Obama administration would stonewall any investigation into the attacks, suppress evidence and flood the media mouthpiece with their talking points and propaganda.
