Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced that they were taking steps to increase security at overseas airports that had direct flights into the US. His statement reads:
“DHS continually assesses the global threat environment and reevaluates the measures we take to promote aviation security. As part of this ongoing process, I have directed TSA to implement enhanced security measures in the coming days at certain overseas airports with direct flights to the United States. We will work to ensure these necessary steps pose as few disruptions to travelers as possible. We are sharing recent and relevant information with our foreign allies and are consulting the aviation industry. These communications are an important part of our commitment to providing our security partners with situational awareness about the current environment and protecting the traveling public. Aviation security includes a number of measures, both seen and unseen, informed by an evolving environment. As always, we will continue to adjust security measures to promote aviation security without unnecessary disruptions to the traveling public.”
Give me a break! Johnson is so concerned about national security and terrorist threats that he’s beefing up security at foreign airports while leaving our 1,954 mile border with Mexico wide open to any terrorist who wants to enter the country undetected.
Is Johnson aware that ranchers along the Mexican border have been finding a number of Islamic items including Qurans and prayer rugs indicating that there is an increasing flow of Muslims entering our country? How many of them are terrorists with plans to carry out attacks here in the US? With Obama’s open door policy, they haven’t a clue. I know if I were a foreign terrorist, I would use the Mexican border to enter the US instead of trying to fly here.
If Johnson wants to talk about safety, what about the growing numbers of illegals carrying highly contagious diseases that are entering our country illegally? I’m talking about diseases like tuberculosis, H1N1 Swine Flu, Dengue fever and Ebola. Those diseases are serious and pose a national health risk, but Johnson is too concerned about someone possibly trying to fly here from some unnamed overseas airport.
I’ve been advocating deploying our military along the Mexican border to curb the flood of illegals for economic, health and employment reasons for some time. Now Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is advocating the same thing. In a recent interview with Aaron Klein Investigative Radio where he stated:
“If we are worried about the danger, then I would send the military across the border, work with their military bilaterally and get the job done. That’s what I would do and we’d clean up this mess.”
“I spent many, many years as a regional director in Mexico City, Central, South America; also other assignments. Head of the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) in Texas and Arizona … I would go back to what I did in Mexico. My agents carried guns and we worked right along with the Mexican authorities locking up dope peddlers.”
Arpaio worked 25 years with the DEA in Mexico, Argentina and Turkey and he knows what’s needed to clean up the drug, disease and immigration problems – deploy our troops. Have our military protect our border and citizens instead of foreign borders.
If Mexican aircraft are firing on US Border Patrol agents on our side of the border, then it’s time we take our men out of Afghanistan and send them over the Mexican border to clean up the drug cartels and wipe them off the face of the earth. If Mexico’s president doesn’t like it, then we need to dump 11 million illegals on his door step and tell him to take care of them.
