In a press conference a month ago, President Obama was asked how the world would be ten years from now. His response raised many eyebrows;
“If you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been. It is more tolerant than it has ever been. It is better fed then it’s ever been. It is more educated than it’s ever been”.
A couple of days ago this clarification was made;
“White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday the Obama administration’s foreign policies in a number of areas have enhanced the world’s “tranquility” – a word that raised eyebrows as reporters pointed to situations in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine and the South China Sea”.
After further investigation and in the spirit of fairness, I realized that they had to be talking about another planet, possibly the moon!
