Why Does Obama Want to Grant Refugee Status to Children In Central America?

Has President Barack Obama gone completely insane? Does he want to become a White House “coyote” and bring unaccompanied undocumented minors into the United States? Where does the President have the authority to use an executive order to implement such a demented plan in violation of the immigration laws of the United States? When is enough, enough? Does Barack Obama want to take us down on the road of national suicide? Is this another action for which Obama could be impeached by the House of Representatives?

ilegal inmigrantsFox News Latino wrote an article entitled “White House Considering Granting Honduran Youths Refugee Status” published on July 25, 2014.
The article explained that White House officials stated on July 24, 2014, that the Obama administration is considering giving refugee status to young people from Honduras as part of a plan to slow the influx of unaccompanied minors entering illegally into the United States. How could this possibly slow the influx of undocumented minors? It would do just the opposite, it would encourage tens of thousands of poor youngsters from Central American countries to enter illegally into the United States.

The insane plan would involved screening youths in Honduras, one of the world’s most violent nations, to determine whether they qualify for refugee status. Honduras is one of the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. There would be tens of thousands of poor, illiterate youth in Honduras who would love to come to the United States to escape poverty, violence, and crime. These are not refugees, they are simply poor children of which there are millions throughout Latin America and in Third World countries of the planet.

Are we going to bring them all in because they are poor and want to enter our nation? What about their parents? Why leave them behind? Where are these unaccompanied minors going to live and where are they going to go to school? Could public schools cope with an influx of teenagers who cannot or barely read in Spanish and who do not speak a word of English? Who will pay for the health care that they will need? Who will pay the tens of billions to take care of them when our nation is on a rapid road to bankruptcy?

In 1997, I was hired by the Agency of International Development (AID) as an educational consultant to assist the Ministry of Education of Honduras to establish middle schools. Up to that time the public schools in that very poor nation only provided education until the sixth grade. The few books that the elementary schools of Honduras had were donated by Western countries. In many of the serious overcrowded schools only the teachers had a text which they had to buy with their own money. When I met with about 20 officials from the Ministry of Education, none of them had an idea what to do. And, of course, there were no funds to buy textbooks for the future middle schools.

Since I had been to the United States Embassy in Tegucigalpa and met with the AID official that was my liaison, I had noticed that the embassy had thousands of booklets regarding human rights, the U.S. Bill of Rights and the United States Constitution, capitalism, environment, health, and so forth. I asked the AID official to donate these booklets which were written in Spanish to the Ministry of Education of Honduras.

These books, I recommended could be used to teach social studies, Spanish, science, and other academic subjects. I also recommended to the U.S. Embassy to request Spanish-language textbooks which are discarded on a yearly basis from school districts across the United States. At one point when I was associate superintendent of instruction in Miami, I donated, with school board approval, many Miami-Dade County Public Schools discarded textbooks to the public schools of the Dominican Republic. An effort for such at this would really help Honduras. The officials of the Ministry of Education seem to be very pleased with the donations of these booklets from our Embassy in Honduras. The sad reality is that the public schools in Honduras are terrible.

White House officials cautioned that no final decision on the matter has been made. But the mere fact that they have raised this horrendous idea must give the American public a great deal of concern. What other insane proposals is the president considering? The officials from the White House briefed reporters ahead of President Barack Obama’s meeting on July 25, 2014 with Central American presidents.

The United Nations has been pushing the United States to treat the unaccompanied and undocumented minor children arriving illegally at the southern border from mostly Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador as refugees. We know Obama wants the United States Senate to approve 17 United Nations treaties that would take away our sovereignty, our wealth, and our Constitution. Barack Obama is a supporter of a one world government under the United Nations as the members of the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission have been pushing for many years. Is the United States now going to take orders from the United Nations as to the individuals in our country who should be classified as refugees? Who gave the United Nations such an authority to interfere in our internal affairs and violate our sovereignty as a nation?

Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala have become one of the most violent regions in the world in recent years, but they are many other nations throughout the world who are in a similar situation. Are we going to declare refugees the millions of young people throughout the world because they happen to live in a violent, crime-ridden, and lawless nation? Why not bring all the Haitian children into the United States? They too are very poor and their nation is certainly crime ridden. Why not the Cuban children who live under an oppressive and tyrannical communist regime? Where does it end?

It is very sad that these three Central American countries are under the control of drug traffickers and street gangs who rob, rape and extort ordinary citizens with impunity because incompetent presidents and other government officials have been able to stop it. The United States needs to do all it can to provide financial assistance to these three poorly-governed nations so they can improve their police and army to fight organized crime and gangs. That would certainly will be very productive and would really assist these nations.

Sadly, Chicago and other cities in the United States are beginning to look like some Central American countries due to increasing numbers of assassinations and shootings among gangs. Perhaps, we need to help our cities control gangs and violence before we look to help other nations of the world.

News reports have revealed that some of the unaccompanied minors that have already entered the United States illegally are gang members from countries like El Salvador where they are more gang members that police officers. These young people have placed their gang symbols in the places where they are being housed in our nation. Is this what we want for our country? In fact, we have freed convicted criminals who belong to violent Central American gangs from our prisons and deport them back to their countries. Are we going to bring them back in our own airplanes at our own expense?

Guatemalan President Otto PĂ©rez Molina, speaking to reporters in Washington ahead of the July 25, 2014 meeting at the White House, said he did not know about the plan raised by White House officials. He stated the following: “I would not find a reason to treat some in one way, and others differently. Here we have had an aligned message from the president of Honduras, of El Salvador and myself, and we expect that the solution to this problem also is equal for the three countries.”

The president of Guatemala has a point. Why should the president consider bringing in only unaccompanied youth from Honduras as refugees? Why not bring them all in from these three nations? Why not bring them all from the rest of the Latin American countries? We know that Obama is the architect of the destruction of the United States. Perhaps, this is his way of destroying our nation, in addition to everything else that he has done for the last five years.

Obama needs to look at the polls which overwhelmingly disapprove of the way he is handling this crisis. Since Oct. 1, 2014 more than 16,000 unaccompanied children from Honduras have been caught crossing the Mexican border illegally. At the same time, more than 30,300 Hondurans traveling as families have also been arrested. Tens of thousands are expected in the future.

Obama’s $3.7 billion emergency spending request looked to be going nowhere in Congress. The House of Representatives want to change a 2008 anti-trafficking law to make it easier to return the Central American kids back home and they have to prepare a bill to that effect. However, the president and Democrats in the Senate reject such changes.

The article on Fox News Latino explained that the Speaker House of Representatives John Boehner stated the following: “I think it needs to be resolved. That’s why we’re continuing to talk to our members about how to resolve it. But as I said before, the White House needs to get its act together or it’s not going to get resolved.”

Speaker Boehner complained that the White House initially pushed for changes in the 2008 law but, after a backlash from the democratic Hispanic Congressional Caucus and immigration advocacy groups, backed off its support. Advocates state changes to the law would be a violation of the migrant youths’ due process. This is absolutely crazy! There are many Democrats, socialists, and Marxists who advocate open borders thinking that eventually all of the undocumented immigrants will become citizens and vote for the Democratic Party forever. These individuals could care less if our nation goes bankrupt for that will accelerate our road to a communist society and the destruction of our capitalist system.

The Fox News Latino article explained that it is unclear what would happen to children and families who have already made the dangerous trek to the United States if the refugee plan is implemented. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has repeatedly said that there is no free pass for immigrants who come to the United States illegally and that those who are caught crossing the border would be sent home. But, of course, there is a Marxist that lives in the White House who changes his mind from one moment to the other and legislate unconstitutionally through executive orders.

The Fox News Latino article pointed out that the administration would also have to clarify what the refugee proposal would mean for Honduran immigrants already in the United States. In 1999, the U.S. government granted Temporary Protective Status (TPS) to Hondurans living in the country illegally in the wake of Hurricane Mitch. The status has been renewed several times since then, and according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services about 60,000 Honduran living in the United States have received the protective status. Immigrants from El Salvador received the protection in 2001 and the United States Citizen and immigration Service (USCIS) says about 202,000 Salvadorans remain the U.S. under TPS.
Newly arriving immigrants from countries granted TPS are not eligible for the protection from deportation. TPS is used from time to time by the government to stop deportations to specific countries when authorities deem it is unsafe to return immigrants.

Since Barack Obama is the leader of the radical progressives, it is probably enlightening to analyze Dinesh D’ Souza’s new book America (2014) since he skillfully examined the progressive theory and tactics, as well as the progressive worldview of radical leftists. He argued that the progressive view on the merits, is not only intellectually dishonest but wrong. He explained that progressivism hurts the very people it purports to help, and, if unchecked, will lead to national suicide.

D’Souza pointed out that our nation’s economic dominance is ending, debt is exploding and position in the world is declining. But, as D’Souza would likely agree, President Obama is a mere symptom of the progressive damaging worldview.

D’Souza pointed out that the progressive worldview is in effect wrong, and that America’s overall decline is not an inevitability but a choice that requires defeating such a worldview and reasserting one based in individual liberty, property rights, free market capitalism and the Judeo-Christian ethic that backs such a system. D’Souza explained that Barack Obama’s “re-make” of America follows the Alinsky progressive destructive plan. After all Alinsky is the spiritual mentor of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

It is quite clear that President Barack Obama dislikes the United States and he views the history of America as told through the progressive lens: that America unfairly stole the land of and ravaged the Native Americans. The United States stole half of Mexico after the Mexican War with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. America was founded in original sin due to slavery and owes reparations to the African-Americans who were enslaved. Barack Obama also believes that Americans “didn’t build that,” and capitalism is exploitative and unjust. After all President Obama is a Marxist who has been associated his entire life with Marxists, radicals, and socialists.

D’Souza asked how have progressives been able to implement such a system so anathema to that of the Founders of our beloved country? He wrote the following:

“Progressives have convinced people that they are fighting theft. If a greedy capitalist has looted your possessions, you would want the government to do something about it. An essential function of government is to bring thieves to justice and to restore stolen possessions to their rightful owners. If the progressive critique is valid, then it doesn’t matter if government does it inefficiently, since there is no one else to do the job.”

The last chapter of D’ Souza’s book is entitled “Decline is a Choice.” America can choose to continue down the progressive path, and with it the loss of our pre-eminence in the world, or instead turn back to first principles of our Founders. What’s most chilling is that as D’Souza writes, the rest of the world is already talking “as if the West is finished.” What is at stake in the final analysis whether or not Western civilization will survive.

D’Souza wrote the following: “The Chinese, the Indians, the Brazilians, and the Russians are all getting richer and stronger due to wealth creation. Yet the leaders of these countries, while they appreciate wealth creation as one way to gain power, have never given up on the conquest ethic as another way to gain power. In fact, they see wealth creation as a way to increase their military power; then that power can be deployed to acquire more wealth through conquest
we [Americans] no longer have the conquest ethic. But the Chinese do; they have never given it up. This is why the world still needs America. We remain the custodians of the idea that wealth should be obtained through invention and trade, not through forced seizure.”

According to an article from The Hill, the White House fears that should the president take executive action to grant amnesty to thousands of undocumented immigrants, the Republicans in the House of Representatives will impeach him. Senior White House advisers are taking very seriously the possibility that Republicans in Congress will try to impeach President Obama, especially if he takes executive action to slow deportations.

The Hill explained that Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to Obama, said on July 25, 2014, that the White House is taking the prospect of impeachment in the GOP-controlled House seriously. Obama’s advisor, Dan Pfeiffer, as quoted by The Hill stated the following: “I saw a poll today that had a huge portion of the Republican Party base saying they supported impeaching the president. A lot of people in this town laugh that off. I would not discount that possibility.”

Writing for Breitbart News earlier this month, former governor Sarah Palin made a Constitutional case for Obama’s impeachment based in large part on the ongoing border crisis. “Without borders, there is no nation,” Palin wrote, “Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate.” Sarah Palin was right when she demanded that Barack Obama be impeached for failing to protect our borders and for picking and choosing which parts of the immigration laws he wishes to enforce. Enough is enough!

In a Congressional meeting on July 25, 2014 , some House of Representatives Republicans discussed the possibility of impeachment should the president continue to ignore the laws he is Constitutionally required to uphold. I hope that the reckless president is concerned about impeachment. Perhaps he welcomes it to create more chaos and disruption in our beloved country.

Conclusion

It is not surprising that President Barack Obama is contemplating expending billions of dollars to bring unaccompanied and undocumented minors to our nation at a great expense. After all, he probably wants to share the wealth of the United States with Third World countries like Honduras. Sadly, is taking our nation on the path of national suicide. We are now a superpower in retreat. As I explained in my recent book America in Decline (2014) a superpower needs to be respected by its allies and feared by its enemies. The United States is neither.

This absolutely insane policy of granting refugee status to poor youth from Honduras or any other country must be stopped! The president has already stated that he’s not going to wait for Congress and that he will use executive orders to unilaterally change the immigration laws approved by Congress. If Obama were to pass an executive order to grant refugee status and bring unaccompanied minors at our expense into the United States, the House of Representatives must file impeachment articles against the president. The American people do not want to have a Marxist “coyote” living in the White House and who is taking orders from the United Nations. The United States is running out of time to stop Barack Obama’s road to national suicide.
