I question why, we were able to liberate Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, an alleged deserter, from the terrorist group Taliban, and bring his family to the White House as a celebration, when we still have a decorated marine, seemingly innocent, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi kept in a mexican jail, a friendly country, while his family is mostly ignored.
I question why, when a gruesome video showed an American journalist, James Foley, being beheaded by an ISIS terrorist with a British accent, Prime Minister Cameron cut short his vacation and called his cabinet, and President Obama decided on a five minute speech followed by a round of golf.
I question why, when a young black man’s life, Michael Brown, is taken away by a white policeman, Darren Wilson, in so far unexplained circumstances, our President calls a press conference, involves the Justice Department, send three White House representatives to his funeral, when after a five minute appearance claiming grief about James Foley’s horrific death, is seen laughing with friends, and the White House ignores the memorial given for the murdered journalist.
I question why, the day after Vladimir Putin invades Ukraine, publicly brings to the fore their nuclear capability, and the fact that he is increasing his nuclear defenses, Prime Minister David Cameron announces the raising of an attack threat to severe, and explains his strategy against the terrorists in a clear, strong, mincing no words fashion, when our President admits having no strategy, and minimizes the dangers posed by ISIS, our newspaper, The Miami Herald’s front page is about a local dancer in a TV show, and the above mentioned news are found in pages 21 and 22.
