The culture has been going through a deep transformation for over 50 years. This conference will address the decline in culture and the education link. A panel of distinguished speakers will offer facts on the state of the Church in America, documented information and solutions. Since the influence of the Frankfurt School has been much of the source of the assault on Christianity and education, the conference will expose how it has been influential and will outline the history of American education going back decades, including examples on how current events reflect those influences.
Now that the origins and dangers of Common Core (New Florida Sunshine State Standards) have been revealed, people are beginning to fight back on behalf of their children. We will discuss the current state of the fight, identify new threats – including the science and history standards. With over 200 talks in 32 states, distinguished expert and keynote speaker Dr Duke Pesta will address the issue of Common Core, it’s history and how much of a negative impact it is having all around the United States. We will expose the deceptive history, the hidden facts and the best ways to overturn Common Core because of the ever increasing threat to K-12 education in public, private, charter and home schooling!

SPEAKER BIOS:
Dr Duke Pesta
Dr Duke Pesta received his M.A. In Renaissance literature from John Carroll University and his Ph.D in Shakespeare and Renaissance literature from Purdue University. He has taught at major research institutions and has been active in alerting the public on the state of Education in America and solutions to its problems, developing and implementing an elective Bible course that is currently available for public high school students in Texas. He is professor of English at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and Academic Director of FreedomProject Education.
Frank De Varona
Frank de Varona is an educator, historian, journalist, and internationally known expert on politics, economics, foreign affairs, and national security issues. He was an Associate Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department, College of Education, at Florida International University (FIU) from 1997 to 2004. Author of 17 books, Frank de Varona has written several articles, biographies, curriculum for school districts and conducted workshops for teachers and school administrators in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties and New York City Public Schools.
He had served on the Advisory Board of the U.S. Department of Educational Southeastern Educational Improvement Laboratory. He received a Bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and a certificate in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida. He earned a Master’s degree in social studies at the University of Miami and a Specialist in Education degree in educational administration and supervision at the University of Florida. He writes for and serves as South Florida Director for Bear Witness Central.
Dr Tom LaHue
Senior Pastor at Port Orange Christian Church in Port Orange, FL. He is also an adjunct professor at Johnson University, Florida. Tom is a graduate of Johnson University, Florida. He holds 3 master’s degrees including a Master of Divinity from Liberty University. His doctoral degree is from Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake, IN.
Alex Newman
Journalist, educator, and consultant, with an education in Journalism. He currently serves as a foreign correspondent for The New American magazine, a contributor to WND, Bear Witness Central and more. He has also written for numerous newspapers and magazines such as the Gainesville Sun, Liberty magazine, Crisis magazine, The Diplomat magazine, and many more. He has co-authored two books, including a major exposé of the plot to dumb down American children using government schools. For the last four years, Alex has been teaching advanced economics to high-school seniors through Freedom Project Education, an accredited K-12 school offering a classical education based on Judeo-Christian values. His work has been cited by governments and major media outlets around the world, and Alex is a frequent guest on radio shows, TV programs, and conferences. He is our new Bear Witness Central Director.
Armando Escalante
Independent Producer/Director, speaker. He, along with his wife, are the producers of the Tales of Waterville™, wholesome animated shows for Children based on Christian values. As an independent producer of children’s animated content, and media professional, he has seen first hand how the culture is being influenced through entertainment and media. Armando, a water baptized born-again Christian for over 30 years, has taught bible study for over 18 years and continues to lead bible studies. He has been an active speaker throughout Florida and guest on liberty radio shows nationwide with guest appearances on Sons of Liberty Radio Show, Glenn Pav Radio Show, American Freedom Watch Radio and others. He speaks on issues of Liberty, Cultural Marxism and the religious heritage of America. He currently serves as the Northeast Director for Bear Witness Central.
Dr. Juan Torres
Juan Torres is a physician who holds a great deal of respect for the history, the constitution and greatness of the United States of America. He founded the “Latino American Tea Party”, an organization created to inform, educate and unite Hispanics against the growing threat of socialism and attacks to freedom of religion and the principles upon which our country was founded. He also brought together several state and national organizations to form the “American Hispanic Coalition”. Dr. Torres’s commitment to freedom and respect for the United States Constitution is reflected in his efforts to continuously inform the largest minority group in the United States using popular social media sites frequently visited by the Hispanic community. In addition, using a broad database from Bear Witness Central, Dr. Torres provides information in Spanish to several conservative and Tea Party organizations across the country.
He has spoken at the “Awakening”, “Values and Voters Summit”, “Give me Liberty Tour” and other Tea Party and conservative events. He writes for Bear Witness Central and is the Central Florida Director for “Bear Witness Central”.
