HUMAN SEXUALITY

Caitlyn-jenner-reaction-kim-kardashian-khloe-kardashian-family-pp“Anyone who is in love is making love the whole time, even when they’re not. When two bodies meet, it is just the cup overflowing. They can stay together for hours, even days. They begin the dance one day and finish it the next, or–such is the pleasure they experience–they may never finish it. No eleven minutes for them.”
Paulo Coelho,

With Bruce Jenner’s change to Caitlyn, the topic of human sexuality again comes to the limelight, and again demonstrate how complicated a simple instinct of attraction between opposite sexes for the purpose of maintaining the species becomes when it is part of a human being.     As a law of nature, in a world limited in space and nourishment everything recycles, forests burn so the excess foliage disappears and new vegetation is formed.   All living beings die as new are born.   As part of this law an urge (sex) is created in which there is a natural attraction between two opposite (sexes) that unite to create a new life.   In human beings this simple law of nature is more complicated, as it is influenced by our intellect and emotions which changes according to the acquisition of knowledge and cultural variants.   When we are drawn to another person, this attraction unites our psyche with the physical body in a feeling called love.   It is important that when defining homosexuality we distinguish between the people that perform homosexual acts from the true homosexuals.   Many may exercise this act as a form of experimentation, a sociopathic personality, and/or suffering from a deviant personality disorder.   This differentiation is very crucial, because the great majority of homosexuals does not seek the limelight, rejects exhibitionism, and are not as keen to use the word “marriage” like their lobby wants us to believe.

As they are part of every aspect of society their main aspiration consist of being accepted, not discriminated, to have equal legal rights, and to live “happily ever after” with their chosen partner, if have one, as heterosexuals do.   A person that because of genetic or environmental influence, probably a mix of both, feels for another of the same sex does it as a manifestation of love.   If desired, for religious or cultural pressures, the physical act can be suppressed as is also the case with heterosexuals who vow to a belief or a marriage contract.

In Bruce Jenner’s case he was suffering from an identity dysfunction, transsexuals, in which a person is born with a psychological imprint of one sex, but the anatomical features of the other.   He decided to undergo physical changes to unite his feeling a woman with his anatomy.   The reverse we see in girls who are born with the identification of being a boy.   Transsexuals are not homosexuals as they love the opposite sex of the one they believe it’s their own.   Persons with sexual differences from the norm comprise less than 5% of the population and as a minority have suffered from discrimination.   Fortunately our society has socially progressed and as stated in our Constitution we are becoming aware of the fact that they, as other minorities, have the same right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.   Having said that, sex in our monogamist Judeo-Christian culture should not be presented to children as a “choice”, like if you are deciding from different flavors of ice cream.   There is a great difference between accepting the ones that for whatever reason, biological or upbringing, have different desires and attacking and or destroying the values that made our society great.
