On the eve of the 14th anniversary of September 11, Democrats sided with Barack Obama in support of the Iran nuclear deal

th-9On the eve of September 11, the news media reported 42 Democrat Senators opposed a GOP resolution to block Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

The resolution needed 60 votes; All Republican Senators (54) and 4 Democrats voted in favor of the resolution. However, despite having the majority, the 42 Democrats terminated any discussion or possibility of blocking the Iran deal.

The vote revealed two facts: 1- Unanimous Republican opposition to the deal, and 2- Obvious White House influence over 42 Democrat Senate members.

Once again, Democrats expressed support of the deal under the claim that it provides the best route in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. However, we know with certainty this is not the case. The deal, in today’s terms, simply delays Iran’s development of nuclear weapons.

Barack Obama was quick to describe the Senate vote as a “victory for diplomacy.” In fact, the Senate’s decision was a victory for Iran, the president, and the Democrats who supported it. The truth is, diplomacy with Iran has never worked.

So, Why participate with a regime that never followed through with an international agreement? It seems Barack Obama decided that it was time to reward Iranian leaders with a new nuclear deal. The American people did not share the President’s opinion; a recent survey by the Pew Research Center found that only 21% of Americans support the nuclear deal.

Unbelievably, Obama also claimed the vote “a victory for the national security of the United States and the world.” Obviously, the President continues to ignore the long history of terrorism Iran has been involved in for over 30 years, its constant threats to the United States (“Death to America”) and Israel (“Annihilation of the Jewish state”) and its frequent violations of multiple international agreements.

Shortly after the Senate vote, the American and Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) said: “ This is a dangerous moment for America and its allies.” Unfortunately for the U.S., Israel, and lovers of peace and freedom all over the world, the Democratic Party chose to side with Barack Obama’s nuclear deal.

One thing is certain, the ultimate winner of the deal is Iran: the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Consequently, Iran will keep all of its nuclear facilities intact and continue developing intercontinental ballistic missiles. If that wasn’t enough, the Iran regime will receive $150 billion once sanctions are lifted (as per the deal).

However, one of the saddest and most inexplicable aspects about the September 10th vote doesn’t lie in its details. Rather it rests in the fact that Senate Democrats could make such a decision just a day before the 14th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on American soil.
