FIGHTING COMMON CORE CONFERENCE – NOV. 7TH PENSACOLA FL

IMPORTANT NOVEMBER 7TH PENSACOLA AREA CONFERENCE ON FIGHTING COMMON CORE

 COMMON CORE EVENT

Parents, grandparents, teachers, and citizens from all walks of life and political persuasion are concerned – and rightly so. Common Core and the “Florida Standards” now in place are nearly identical. The tests are costly, they are data mining and psychologically profiling our kids, stealing learning time, fraught with technical errors and lack validity. September 25, a press release from the Florida Associatiopn of District School Superintendents was entitled: Florida Superintendents Have Lost Confidence in the Accountability System. Parents and children are frustrated and looking for answers.

Many thanks and kudos to the Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee who is presenting a solutions-oriented seminar on “How to Fight the Tragedy of Common Core.” The format will be speeches in the morning with the national speakers pictured above, including our own

Dr. Effrem, lunch, a panel discussion with other state and local experts including political strategist Randy Osborne, followed by book signings and one-on-one conversations with the speakers.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge to be provided: what is Common Core; who is behind the curtain; what is it doing to the rising generation and where do we go from here?
