Senator Ted Cruz (Republican from Texas) and presidential candidate and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart (Republican from Florida) have introduced a bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a sanctioned terrorist organization. This legislation is long overdue and it is a tribute to two Americans of Cuban origin that they have seen how the Obama administration supports the Muslim Brotherhood in the Unites States and abroad.
Adam Kredo wrote an article regarding this bill in the Washington Free Beacon on November 3, 2015. He explained that the bill describes the Muslim Brotherhood’s long history of sponsoring terrorism and outlines congressional support for it to be designated a global terrorist outfit. The bill also would force Secretary of State John Kerry to explain why the Obama administration has not label the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group.
Egyptian President al Sissi banned the Muslim Brotherhood’s political wing in his country. Kredo said that if the State Department refuses to move forward with the designation, the bill would require it to provide a justification for this policy. Last year several representatives filed a similar bill, but it failed to become law.
Senator Ted Cruz told the Free Beacon the following: “We have to stop pretending that the Brotherhood is not responsible for the terrorism they advocate and finance. We have to see it for what it is: a key international organization dedicated to waging violent jihad.
Since the Obama administration refuses to utter the words radical Islamic terrorism and Congress owes it to the American people to tell them the truth about this threat. This bill puts the lie to the notion that the Muslim Brotherhood is a peaceful political organization that can be a legitimate partner for America.”

In 2008, the Justice Department successfully prosecuted the largest terrorism-financing trial in American history arguing that the Muslim Brotherhood directed U.S. affiliates such as the Holy Land Foundation to provide ‘media, money and men’ to Hamas. That support was used for terrorist attacks against Americans and our allies in the Middle East. When they are capable they will try to do the same thing here.”
The bill filed by Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart includes a lengthy history of the Brotherhood’s links to radical terrorist leaders and violent incidents. It concludes that “the Muslim Brotherhood meets the criteria for designation as a foreign terrorist organization.”
According to the bill, it requires the State Department and other agencies to determine whether the Muslim Brotherhood officially meets the requirements to be designated under U.S. law as a terrorist organization. However, “if the Secretary of State determines that the Muslim Brotherhood does not meet the criteria,” it must submit to Congress “a detailed justification as to which criteria have not been met.”
Muslim Brotherhood affiliates as well as the group’s members have been listed as sponsors of terrorism in the past by the U.S. government. The terrorist group Hamas, a longtime Brotherhood affiliate, has been sanctioned for some time.
Kredo pointed out that five countries—Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Russia—already consider the Brotherhood a terrorist organization. Israel, Canada, and the United Kingdom are examining the possibility of designating it a terrorist organization as well.
Senator Cruz and other legislators have said that the Muslim Brotherhood presents a direct threat to U.S. national security, although the Obama administration has held several meetings with members of the Brotherhood. U.S. Intelligence officials have established that elements of the Muslim Brotherhood run terrorist financing operations in the United States
Kredo explained that other officials have explained that terror groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and al-Qaeda can all trace their roots back to the Muslim Brotherhood and its leaders. Senator Cruz has also worked on legislation to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps an official state sponsor of terrorism.
The Cruz/Diaz-Balart bill states the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Koran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu Akhbar!”
The bill notes the presence of Muslim Brotherhood front groups in America, and how the Holy Land Foundation trial, which was the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history, sought to uncover the web of Muslim Brotherhood affiliates in the United States.
These groups, which include among others, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) have been operating in our nation for years.
If the Senate passes the bill, the State Department would have 60 days to issue a statement whether or not it agrees with the terrorist designation, and State Department would also need to decide if it would move forward with listing the jihadi group. If the State Department rejects the bill, it has to give a “detailed justification as to which criteria have not been met.”
Malik Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and provides funds for Hamas
Malik Obama, president Obama’s brother, wears a Hamas scarf and he supports Hamas financially. Malik Obama, as Executive Secretary of the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), helps to lead an organization that collects funds and sends them directly to Hamas using the bank founded by Osama bin Laden in Sudan.
Malik Obama founded the Barack Hussein Obama Foundation in the United States and was given retroactive approval by the corrupt Lois Lerner in violation of IRS rules. Lerner and her employees harassed over 800 conservative and religious organizations to assist the reelection of Obama. The injustice Department of Justice recently announced that Lerner would not be prosecuted.
Malik Obama is a fundraiser for the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO). While IDO is supposed to be for “Da’wa” which strictly means, “to proselytize”, or “spreading the good news of Islam,” it does much more. IDO also has raised funds for Gaza relief.
These are unmonitored funds that use a bank known for its links to al-Qaeda. The funds are then distributed through Hamas to whichever way they like to spend them. For example, one fund to aid Hamas links to IDO and is advertised by the Muslim Brotherhood as “Aiding Our Brothers in Gaza,” which is set up in the Al Shamal Bank, an al-Qaeda bank that was founded by Osama bin Laden.
The Al Shamal Bank, as explained in a 1996 State Department report: “Bin Laden co-founded the Al Shamal bank with a group of wealthy Sudanese and capitalized it with $50 million of his inherited fortune… The Al Shamal bank was also identified as one of bin Laden’s principal financial entities during the trial earlier this year of four al-Qaeda operatives convicted in the 1998 bombings of the two U.S. embassies in Africa. In fact, the banking of Malik’s IDO through Al Shamal is ironclad and is advertised on their own websites.”
The Muslim Brotherhood and its Jihad against our Nation
Hassan al-Banna founded the Muslim Brotherhood in Ismailia, Egypt in 1928.
The Society of the Muslim Brothers, known as the Muslim Brotherhood (“al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen” in Arabic), was founded by the Islamic scholar Hassan al-Banna in Ismailia, Egypt in 1928. The Muslim Brotherhood’s credo was, and is, “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law; the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.”
The Brotherhood is made up of around 70 national organizations. The headquarters of the Brotherhood is located in Egypt.
One of its important leaders, Sayyid Qutb, wrote in 1946 that: “All Westerners are the same: a rotten conscience, a false civilization. How I hate these Westerners, how I despise all of them without exception.” He later wrote his most important book, titled Milestones which states that all non-Islamic nations are illegitimate. Only the Quran and its laws are legitimate. Qutb was hanged in 1966 but his book, full of hatred for the West, still is read in many languages and is being sold by the Moslem Brotherhood and mosques all over the world.

The Muslim Brotherhood believes that Islamic Shariah law is “the basis for controlling the affairs of state and society.” Shariah law is a complete set of Islamic rules by which all Muslims are required to live by. These rules or laws are mandated by the Quran and other Islamic writings.
Shariah laws represent much more than religion. Islam, as the basis of these laws, also prescribes political and cultural as well as religious life. With strict application of Shariah law, women have very limited rights while men exercise complete control over the lives of their wives and daughters. Muslim women must dress in a very conservative manner as prescribed by Shariah law.
Under Shariah law there are limited personal freedoms, such as freedom of speech, thought, press, artistic expression, and religion is strictly regulated. Music, art, movies, and literature are either tightly controlled or completely banned. Muslims maintain that Islam is the one and only religion for the world. In the strictest interpretation of Shariah law, non-Muslims are to be converted, subjugated, or treated as prisoners. When dealing with non-Muslims, Shariah law allows Muslims to lie, if in doing so benefits Islam. Shariah law takes precedence over all local or national laws including a country’s Constitution.
Shariah law prescribes harsh punishments for stealing, adultery, and blasphemy. Blasphemy is defined as an act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God. Shariah law has established punishments for anyone who is irreverent towards holy people such as Prophet Muhammad, religious artifacts, or anyone who criticizes Islam. Under Shariah law any criticism of Islam in writings, art, poetry, graphic depictions of Muhammad or any negative comments of the Quran is severely punished with fines, flogging, imprisonment, or even death.
Rashad Hussain and the Organization of Islamic States
The Organization of Islamic States made up of 57 Muslim countries has demanded for years that non-Muslim nations punish through laws those that criticize Islam or use blasphemy even though that is in violation of the freedom of speech and freedom of the press of Western nations. On February 13, 2010, President Obama appointed Rashad Hussain, who was Deputy Associate Counsel at the White House, as Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on February 13, 2010.
Hussain has been involved in many Muslim Brotherhood front organizations such as the Muslim Student Association, the American Muslim Council, and the International Institute of Islamic Thought. Obama cited that Hussain was a “respected member of the American Muslim community since he is a ´Hafiz´ of the Quran (a person who has memorized the entire Quran).”
The Islamic concept of blasphemy is incompatible with Western values. President Obama seems to agree with this concept since he told the United Nations General Assembly on September 9, 2012, that: “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.”
It is very unfortunately that each and every time that free expression is suppressed to avoid offending Islamic sensibilities, another step down the road to dhimmitude (subjugation).The Muslim Brotherhood’s first line of attack against the United States and Western nations is precisely information suppression.
Ultimate Goal of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Jihadists
Al-Banna wanted to create an empire stretching from Spain to Indonesia under a unified Caliphate. Thus, the main objective of the Muslim Brotherhood was and is to create a Pan-Islamic, religious, political, and social movement. Al-Banna’s ideas had gained followers throughout the Arab world throughout the years.
Members of the Muslim Brotherhood have been responsible for violent killings of political opponents worldwide for decades. The Muslim Brotherhood is a movement, not a political party. However, Brotherhood members have established political parties in many countries such as the Freedom and Justice Party in Egypt, Hamas in Gaza and the West Bank, and Islamic Action Front in Jordan.
The Muslim Brotherhood is present in Israel and in the Palestinian territories. The Islamic Resistant Movement or Hamas was founded in Gaza in 1987 as a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. During the First Intifada (1987-1993), where Palestinians threw stones and other objects at the armed forces of Israel, Hamas transformed itself into one of the strongest militarized Palestinian militant groups. In 2007, Hamas was elected as the government of the Gaza Strip.
The abandonment of Gaza by Israel did not bring security to Israel. On the contrary, Hamas has constantly fired rockets and sent suicidal bombers against Israel.
In Sudan, a military coup in 1989 brought Omar al-Bashir to power and his Muslim Brotherhood group took over a large nation in Africa. Since that time, President al-Bashir has committed genocide against Sudanese Christians in the southern part of that country. The Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan has penetrated all political organizations, the army, and security personnel.
The Muslim Brotherhood has taken over the educational system to indoctrinate the students in order to spread its ideology. The Muslim Brotherhood also took control of all the banks. The Muslim Brotherhood Sudanese government has links to a number of terrorist groups and is an ally of Iran.
In the United States, during the trial of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), numerous documents on the Muslim Brotherhood came to light. One of these documents, “Civilizations Jihad” dated in 1991, explained that the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood was to destroy the United States and Western civilizations from within and allow for the victory of Islam over other religions.
Another document entitled “Ikhman in America” called for the establishing of camps to train its members in the use of weapons as well as engaging in counter-espionage against the United States government agencies such as the CIA and the FBI. Currently there are many Muslim Brotherhood camps in the United States.
The Muslim Brotherhood members have infiltrated in a number of Islamic organizations in the United States such as Muslim Students Association (founded in 1963), the North American Islamic Trust (in 1971), the Islamic Society of North America (in 1981), the American Muslim Council (in 1990), and the Muslim American Society (in 1992). Another dangerous development is that communists have entered into an alliance with jihadist to destroy our nation. David Horowitz described it in great detailed this great threat to our national security in his book Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left (2004).
Former CIA Director R. James Woolsey praised this book and stated the following: “Now Islamist fanatics and today´s Left make common cause to the same end as their predecessors- the destruction of freedom.” Woolsey compares this threat as the “Hitler-Stalin Pact of our time.” This is why in communist countries like Cuba and Venezuela are allies of Iran, Syria and terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Another critic of the Muslim Brotherhood is retired U.S. Navy four-star admiral James Lyons, who served honorably our country during 36 years. In an interview with Roger Aronoff of Accuracy in Media, which was published by the New Zeal Blog on February 15, 2013, he stated that the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan is the following: “To institute Shariah law in the United States in place of our Constitution—they call it the Stealth Jihad—and, in their own words, to destroy us by our own miserable hands.”
Retired Admiral James Lyons also stated in the interview the following: “The Muslim Brotherhood´s penetration in this country is really unconscionable. They have been able to penetrate almost every one of our government agencies. You see it reflected down in the administration´s directives where we have to purge all of our training manuals or anything that purports the truth about Islam. Anything that is considered anti-Islamic must be purged, and our instructors that do not fall in line, find themselves with new orders elsewhere…None of this makes any sense to me.”
Muslim Brotherhood Penetration of our Government
The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development was named as a terrorist organization on December 4, 2001 by President George W. Bush´s Executive Order 13224. One of the founders of Holy Land Foundation (HLF) was Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, a political leader of Hamas, who was deported from the United States to Jordan in 1997.
Marzook was indicted by U.S. Federal Grand Jury in Chicago for conspiracy in raising funds for terrorist attacks against Israel. On November 24, 2008, the federal government in a retrial obtained guilty verdicts against the Holy Land Foundation and five of its leaders. Shukri Abu-Baker and Ghassan Elashi, a Board of Director of the Texas Branch of CAIR, were sentenced to 65 years in jail. The others received lesser sentences.
The jury found the Holy Land Foundation guilty on all 108 federal charges. These included conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and to provide material support to a foreign terrorist and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The HLF collected over $12 million for Hamas.
According to the documents presented in the HLF trial the Brotherhood in the United States was formed in the 1960s. Many young Muslim came to our nation to study in our colleges and universities during this time. The Brotherhood infiltrated the Muslim Students Association (MSA) founded in 1963. Many Islamic organizations were later infiltrated by the Brotherhood and are now identified as Muslim Brotherhood´s fronts: the North American Islamic Trust, the Muslim Arab Youth Association, the International Institute of Islamic Thought, MSA, ISNA, CAIR and others. A total of 29 Muslim organizations were identified during the HLF trial.
During the HLF trial, important documents from a number of Islamic organizations that were linked to the Muslim Brotherhood came to light. A memorandum was written in 1991 by Mohamed Akram, a senior Hamas leader and a member to the Board of Directors for the Muslim Brotherhood for North America. In this document, the strategic goal number six is as follows: “Supporting the establishment of the global Islamic State wherever it is.”
The memorandum explains “settlement process” as a “grand jihad,” which seeks to eliminate and destroy Western civilization from within, and “sabotage its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God´s religion (Islam) is made victorious over all other religions.”
This process has been referred to as “stealth jihad.” These documents show clearly that the Muslim Brotherhood for more than 30 years has carried out a deliberate and systematic plan to wage “civilization jihad” against our beloved nation with the ultimate diabolical objective of making the United States a part of a global Muslim Caliphate.
Conclusion
The Muslim Brotherhood´s first objective, which is being successfully implemented, is information suppression, so that the American people do not realize the great menace that we are facing. Admiral Lyons is a strong critic of the Obama administration because he believes that it has ignored the present and clear danger that the Muslim Brotherhood represents to our nation. This is why the Cruz/Díaz-Balart bill must become law.
Obama is a hidden radical Muslim. He has appointed many devout Muslim to important posts in his government including the State Department and Homeland Security. Interesting how Obama does not characterizes “devout “ Protestants, Catholics and Jews, only Muslims are devout nor does him say so and so is an expert on the Bible.
Obama bowed deeply and shamefully to the King of Saudi Arabia. He has associated with radical Palestinians, given funds from the Woods Foundation to support their organizations, and named many Muslims to positions in his administration. He told a reporter from The New York Times that the call to pray at mosques is the “prettiest sound in the world.” He stated in Cairo that our country is not a Christian nation even though this is not true since the United States is a Judeo-Christian nation.
Obama helped the Muslim Brotherhood to achieve power in Egypt and he discarded President Hosni Mubarak, our faithful ally for many years. Obama refuses to use the terms “War on Terror, “radical Islamists,” and “Islamic terrorism” because he is afraid to offend the Muslim countries.
Obama goes around the world apologizing for the past mistakes of our nation. He celebrates all Muslim holidays in the White House. He has released many Islamic terrorists from Guantanamo and has said he will bring the few prisoners left at Gitmo to our country with or without the approval of Congress. Obviously, he governs like a dictator and has made Congress irrelevant.
Several of these terrorists that Obama released have rejoined terrorist groups that seek our destruction. It is quite obvious that President Obama is pro-Muslim and he does not seem to value the Judeo-Christian values of our nation. Obama’s critics go as far as saying that he is devoted to destroy these values that made of our beloved country great.
It is very troubling that the Obama administration is using individuals connected to the Muslim Brotherhood to rewrite the training manuals for the FBI and other federal agencies. The Southern Poverty Center, a radical leftist organization, tried unsuccessfully to rewrite the training manual for the U.S. Army Reserve criticizing Christians and Jews.
The Obama administration has ignored the ever-increasing threat of the Muslim Brotherhood´s infiltration in his government. Obama probably welcomes this infiltration, and he is willfully blind to this dangerous organization that seeks our destruction and that of all Western nations. Where are we heading as a nation?
