Police: Preliminary Information Indicates 14 Dead, 14 Wounded in San Bernardino ShootingUPDATE

San Bernardino police said at a press conference that preliminary information indicated 14 have been killed and 14 wounded. Terrorism is not ruled out by FBI.

“They were dressed and equipped in a way to indicate they were prepared.”

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (TheBlaze/AP) — Police in San Bernardino, California, responded to an active shooter situation at a social services facility on Wednesday.

The San Bernardino Police Department confirmed the shooting and stated there are “1 to 3 possible suspects” and confirmed “fatalities.” A reporter with NBC Los Angeles said he witnessed at the scene at least three people dead after the attack.

San Bernardino Lt. Vicki Cervantes said witnesses reported seeing “two attackers with ski masks and vests, who arrived in a dark-colored, large SUV.” No arrests have been made.

Lt. Rich Lawhead said Wednesday there are also reports of as many as 20 victims.

There were reports that a bomb squad was investigating a possible explosive device at the scene. More from CBS News:

CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reports that a law enforcement source said that a bomb squad is in the process of attempting to neutralize an apparent explosive device left at the scene.

Both the ATF and FBI are responding to the shooting scene. FBI says San Bernardino law enforcement officials have the lead on the incident at this time.

Video surfaced on Wednesday showing people being evacuated from the Inland Regional Center with their hands up during the active shooter situation.

Cervantes said police are still working to secure the scene in the inland region east of Los Angeles.
