Immigration: The Liberal Side of Fox News

fox-news-logo-Getty-640x480The immigration crisis in the United States has been one of the most heavily addressed issues in the Republican presidential debates. Although all the candidates acknowledge the issue; each has a different approach and solution. Because of their positions, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have been at the forefront of recent news.

The majority of American voters do not support amnesty for illegal immigrants and for months this fact has been reflected in the polls. Of the three candidates, Trump and Cruz (who both oppose amnesty) have remained at the top, while Rubio (in favor of amnesty) has dropped to 3rd place.

The U.S. conservative media has traditionally fought illegal immigration and worked to oppose amnesty. As expected, the liberal media have the opposite position. For years, Americans believed these statements to remain true about each party’s view. Recent news proves we were wrong.

Fox News, the most popular television channel, is not what many believed it to be, at least when it comes to immigration. Are you aware that Rupert Murdoch, the founder of Fox News, is the co-chair of the Partnership for a New American Economy? Did you know that this organization is one of the leading and most powerful entities in the country advocating for an open borders policy?

According to an article recently published in Breitbart, Murdoch (current CEO of Fox News) and Roger Ailes (President of Fox News) are advocates of amnesty and proponents of massive legalization of undocumented immigrants. The article discusses in detail, the past, position and contacts of Rupert Murdoch in relation to the immigration crisis in the United States.

Dennis Michael Lynch from Newsmax supported Breitbart allegations. In a recent video, Lynch echoed an alarming comment from Breitbart: ” The Trump campaign is a direct threat to Murdoch’s efforts to open America’s borders.”

Another person who strongly criticized Fox News was Ann Coulter. According to Coulter, when it comes to immigration, Fox News is indistinguishable from George Soros. Ann Coulter also accused the TV channel of falsely labeling as conservative media.

For millions of viewers, Fox News’ position is not only questionable but also disappointing. Considering that Fox News is watched across the world, it would be interesting to know if the channel promotes global adoption of open borders.

I wonder what prompted Fox News to adopt an agenda that promotes the violation of the rule of law. Something the network should take into consideration is the possible impact this situation will have on its national ratings. The channel has been traditionally considered conservative; however, these recent revelations put that into question.

At this time, when it comes to immigration, Fox News is looking more and more like Univision… Jorge Ramos must be happy man. In regards to this issue, something seems to be clear; Barack Obama and Liberals have found a great friend in Fox News.
