Florida Conservative Voters

Florida Conservatives UnitedPerrysburg, OH. Nine months ago, the NW Ohio Conservative Coalition (NWOCC) launched the program, Ohio Conservatives United, to address the problem of “splitting the vote” between the various candidates.

Ohio Conservatives United spokesman John McAvoy said: “For the first time in history, we had an unprecedented number of conservative candidates on the ballot. If we didn’t do something to help voters coalesce around one candidate, we’d split our vote and none of the conservative candidates would win.”

NWOCC Chair Linda Bowyer said; “John McAvoy brought this idea to us and asked if we would host it. The goal of Ohio Conservatives United Program was to provide a platform for Conservative voters in Ohio to talk to each other and engage in a conversation regarding voters uniting behind one candidate.”

Conservative voters took part in regular surveys. The results were then tracked and posted for all to see. Participation by conservatives in Ohio was so successful that Florida and Illinois joined in and began spreading the word. Over the last nine months, hundreds of surveys were conducted in all three states with over 15,000 participants responding. The surveys asked three questions:

1) Who’s your 1st choice for President? Also indicate your #2, #3, #4 choices.

2) Would you be willing to change your vote to unite around one candidate?

3) Will you vote in the primary or pull a Republican Ballot if you are not a Republican?

McAvoy continues, “When we reviewed the data from Ohio, Florida, and Illinois, Ted Cruz was the consistent #1 choice of Conservatives participating in the surveys. During the program we reminded participants they are under no obligation to change their vote. However, the time has now arrived where voters will need to make a choice – do we unite and win, or do we split and lose?”

NWOCC chair Linda Bowyer; “We want to thank John McAvoy (Ohio), Andy Dubois and Carol Knighton (Florida), and Carol Davis and Janet Shaw (Illinois), for the thousands of hours they put into this effort. There is no way this program could ever have succeeded without their efforts. Based on the result of these surveys, the board of the NWOCC has voted to endorse Ted Cruz for President.”

The Northwest Ohio Conservative Coalition is a non-connected political action committee registered with the Federal Elections Commission and the State of Ohio. For more information, visit our webpage www.nwohiocc.com or contact us at nwohioconservativecoalition@gmail.com.
