Independent Sentinel starts us off with a look at the Left’s divisive White Privilege lie
KGW reports that Portland Community College began its white degrading ‘Whiteness History Month’ Friday which will include a month-long series of workshops. About 30 participants started out by taking an online implicit bias exam where they were quizzed on racial biases and assumptions.
They will explore how “whiteness” causes racial inequality.
Goals include examining “race and racism through an exploration of the construction of whiteness”.
This, of course, is nothing but Marxist indoctrination. The Leftists/Progressives/Marxists/Communists divide people in every possible manner. Skin color, religion, age, income, sexual orientation, etc. This indoctrination is designed to embitter certain groups, at the expense of other groups.
The organizers think it drew negative attention when it was first announced because it’s a difficult conversation. They don’t seem to understand that the entire ‘white privilege’ mantra is racism against whites.
Everyone’s affected by this faux white privilege one participant said.
“I, sometimes, don’t even stop to think about that. I’m part of a culture that is the dominant culture in the United States and in much of the world. What does that really mean?” another asked quizzically.
The “culture”, in fact is Western culture, and it is that culture that has built the freest most prosperous, and tolerant nations on earth. The Left, of course, seeks to destroy Western culture because it embraces Individualism, and individual liberty. These values are loathed by the Left. To the Left, it matters not that Western culture IS superior, or that it is largely treats all people equally. The goal of the Marxist left is to reign in everyone under one big government, foregoing individual rights, in favor of Collective rights which come from government, and can, of course, be restricted by, or even erased by that same government.
They are studying white supremacy and they delve into critical race theory.
The underlying assumption of critical race theory, which intellectuals believe is a given, is that all whites are inherently racist and whites are to blame for the plight of minorities. You can’t call them racists either. Racism, according to the theory, is prejudice plus power; and since (according to the theory) black people have no power in society, by definition they can’t be racist.
If you don’t go along with this garbage, you are in “white denial”.
The initiative in Portland was conceived by a subcommittee of PCC’s Cascade Campus Diversity Council, which noticed that “evidence from hiring data, student-led research, surveys, focus groups, college-wide emails, and other sources have illuminated the underlying reality of whiteness embedded in the overall college climate.” They plan “international action” to create a “nationally renowned culture for diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
Whiteness, they say, “does not simply refer to skin color[,] but [to] an ideology based on beliefs, values, behaviors, habits, and attitudes, which result in the unequal distribution of power and privilege based on skin color.”
That paragraph lays it out very clearly, this is not a war to “end” racism, is a war to end critical thinking and Individualism. The Marxists are using race, but their real ends are not focused on race, they are, instead, focused on making the State supreme, and individuals wards of that State.
Not only does the concept of whiteness allow those who are “socially deemed white” to accrue benefits, they assert, but those benefits “are accrued at the expense of people of color, namely in how people of color are systemically and prejudicially denied equal access to those material benefits.”
The ideology of whiteness, the organizers claim, dates back to “at least the seventeenth century, [when] ‘white’ appeared as a legal term and social designator determining social and political rights,” a concept that eventually grew to include “thousands” of “special privileges and protections” for white citizens.
During day 1 in Portland, one of the presenters, Rut Martinez-Alicea, defended black rapists when someone brought up internet comments about black men raping white women. They completely ignored the rape aspect, and focused solely on the fact that people are criticizing black males and explained that it’s somehow a privilege that people are talking about white women as victims.
Leftism, and all the other bastard “isms” spawned by Marx and Engels are evil. The 100,000,000 plus dead last century proves that. While the delusional promises of Marxism are sweet to the ear, they are lies. Lies that do not grant the mythical panacea of”equality” the Left clamors about. Instead it leads to an all-powerful government that enforces its own version of equality, and the price of that equality is slavery to that all-powerful government.
