At least 14 people are dead after a group of Isis militants armed with machine guns attacked the headquarters of a Real Madrid supporters club.
Men holding AK-47s stormed the supporters building in Samarra, 125km north of Baghdad, Iraq and opened fire on a group of around 50 people who had gathered to watch a game.
It is believed 16Â people were killed and more than 20 were injured.
The members would meet at the building for coffee and to watch Real Madrid games together.
When there wasnât a live match, they would put an old game on instead â such was their love of the football team.
The president of the club, Ziad Subhan, said: âA group of Islamist terrorists, from ISIS, came into the cafĂ© armed with AK-47s, shooting at random at everyone who was inside.â
AS reports that Mr Subhan said the attackers âdonât like football⊠they think itâs anti-Muslimâ.
Real Madrid released a statement to offer their condolences: âReal Madrid CF deeply regrets the terrible attack today in Iraq,â it read.
âThe club shows its total sadness and offers his affection and condolences to the families and friends of the victims.â
The club says that players will wear black armbands at the next game to show mourning and respect.
The attack on the club comes just two days after the worst violence seen in the Iraqi capital so far in 2016.
On Wednesday, around 90 people were killed in multiple blasts across Baghdad.

At least 63 people were killed in Sadr city, a Shia majority district of Baghdad.
Itâs believed that Isis, seeing its influence and territory shrinking in Iraq, is trying to aggravate the cityâs sectarian divide by violently targeting Shia areas.
On Thursday two suicide bombers attacked a police station in Abu Ghraib, only 15 miles outside of Baghdad. Eight people, not including the attackers, were wounded.
