SOUTH CHINA SEA TERRITORIAL DISPUTE FACTS AND UPDATE

For 70 years the US navy has sailed the western pacific – South China Sea virtually unopposed. But China is now modernising its navy in South China Sea, fortifying its fleet with nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers and long range missiles. It’s also attempting to force the Philippines and Vietnam in South China Sea off disputed reefs and spending billions building new island bases more than a thousand kilometres from its own shores. Several countries are making their own moves with regards to the dispute over the South China Sea region. Japan just activated a radar station in the East China Sea allowing it to establish a permanent intelligence post that can track territories nearby. China expressed its anger over the matter, as reported by Business Insider. – Next News Network
