Rudy Giuliani was a successful mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001.

Jacqueline Charles wrote an article titled “Donald Trump to Haitian voters: I want to be your greatest champion” which was published in the Miami Herald on September 17, 2016. The reporter said that the Republican presidential candidate stated the following: “Hillary Clinton was responsible for doing things a lot of the Haitian people are not happy with. Taxpayer dollars intended for Haiti and the earthquake victims went to a lot of the Clinton cronies.” Trump was referring to the misused of the millions collected by the Clinton Foundation after Haiti’s devastating January 12, 2010 earthquake. There have been several demonstrations in front of the Clinton Foundations by Haitians with signs saying “Where is our money?”

Charles explained that Trump told the crowd that he had come to “listen and learn” and to build a new relationship with the community. “Whether you vote for me or not I really want to be your biggest champion,” the GOP presidential candidate said. Trump was introduced by Georges Saati, who told the group that this was the first time that a presidential candidate had visited the community. The remarks brought Donald Trump applause from group, several of whom said they went because they were curious and wanted to hear what Trump had to say. Most of their comments to the Republican candidate focused on their personal disappointment over the lack of progress in Haiti despite the involvement of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The reporter explained that Monique DieuJuste, a Lauderhill resident who works as a registered respiratory therapist, said the following: “The fact that he came here is everything for us as Haitians. The Clintons haven’t done anything for us.” DieuJuste said she plans to vote for Trump. Leonce Thelusma, a former Haitian finance minister and a registered Republican, said Clinton has little to show for her and her husband’s involvement in Haiti. Thelusma pointed out that “No Haitian has benefited from that, it’s unfortunate that we don’t have any institutions in Haiti that can call him and demand that he gives an account of the earthquake money.”

Donald Trump entered his Miami rally on September 16, 2016 as the theme song from Les Miserables played and the video wall behind the podium flashed to tribute artwork.

The theme song from Les Miserables referred to an insult by Hillary Clinton to Trump supporters a week ago by saying half of them belong in “the basket of deplorables” and some are ‘irredeemable’ a week earlier. Donald Trump took the stage at James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami with a visual and a song from the Broadway musical Les Misérables making fun of and Hillary Clinton incredible insult leveled at his supporters one week ago.

The real thing: The Reddit artist adapted his work from a poster promoting the 2012 film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical.

Donald J. Trump took the stage after he was introduced by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The theme song from Les Miserables “Do You Hear the People Sing” blasted through loudspeakers. The video screen behind the podium flashed to an artistic rendering of Les Deplorables, complete with flags of America and banners from Trump replacing the French colors, and a bald eagle soaring over the revolutionary scene. They got the joke and thousands inside the James L. Knight Center cheered when they recognized the play on words.

Trump declared the following: “Welcome to all of you, deplorables! Boy oh boy, we’re going to have a good time tonight! And we love you! My opponent slanders you as deplorable and irredeemable – boy that second word is tough. ‘You don’t hear that much. It means you can never come back. I call you hard-working American patriots who love your family, and really, really, really love your country.” Donald J. Trump supporters have adopted the Clinton insult and worn it as a badge of honor, and in the space of just a few days Trump rally-goers have already begun to sport I am deplorable t-shirts and signs.

Trump criticized Hillary Clinton attacks on the Second Amendment and  sarcastically called for Clinton’s Secret Service agents to drop their weapons, “and let’s see what happens to her.”
‘I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm, right?’ Trump said. “Take their guns away, she doesn’t want guns. Take their — and let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away. OK, it would be very dangerous.’

Hillary Clinton said last week that half of Trump’s supporters belong in “the basket of deplorables.” Clinton added that they are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamophobic Republicans. She pointed out that “Some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”

Patricia Mazzei and Amy Sherman wrote an article titled “Trump learns to play Miami’s ethnic politics” which was published in Miami Herald on September 17, 2016. The reporters explained that the Republican presidential candidate asked how many Cuban Americans were in the audience and many yelled that they were from the oppressed island. Trump said that Obama’s renewed diplomatic relations with Cuba “one-sided” and helpful only to the Castro regime. He promised to reverse President Barack Obama’s reengagement policy with the Castro regime.

Trump stated the following: “Obama has granted many concessions to the Castro regime through executive order — which means the next president can reverse them. And that I will do unless the Castro regime meets our demands. Not my demands — our demands. Those demands will include religious and political freedom for the Cuban people, and the freeing of political prisoners.” Cuban Americans make up nearly three-quarters of Miami-Dade Republicans. He promised Venezuelans to stand with their “oppressed” countrymen.

Mazzei and Sherman said that Trump stated: “My economic agenda can be summed up in three words — and you’re going to like these words jobs, jobs jobs.” He maintained he would repeal ObamaCare with something better.

Conclusion

Donald J. Trump is ahead in all the recent polls in Florida. He needs all of Florida 29 electoral votes to win the White House.
