The idea that Ahmad Khan Rahami acted alone is absurd on its face, and is made even more ridiculous by his family’s jihad activity. His brother’s Facebook page had this post — with a comment calling for my death.

Rahami, 28, was arrested in Elizabeth in February 2012 on a charge of contempt for allegedly violating a domestic violence restraining order, according to court records. The charge was eventually downgraded and heard in Family Court. It’s not clear what the final disposition was.

More recently, on Aug. 25, 2014, he was arrested in Elizabeth in connection with an alleged offense that happened three days earlier. He was charged with aggravated assault with attempt to cause bodily injury, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. He was released on $25,000 bail. A Union County grand jury in January 2015 declined to indict him, records show.

At the time, his address was listed as Harbor Terrace in Perth Amboy, not in Elizabeth.

Another person at his last known address on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth, Najiba Rahami, 51, was arrested in 2010 on child abuse charges. Those were dismissed in 2011 after she completed a pre-trial intervention program. Her relationship to the bombing suspect was not immediately clear Monday morning.

He stabbed his sister back in 2014. She dropped the charges (in accordance with the sharia). But why wasn’t he indicted? What has this country come to — you can stab someone, and if the victim doesn’t press charges, you are free.

“Suspect in NYC, N.J. bomb attacks arrested in 2014 over charge of violence against sister,” by Ginger Adams Otis, NY Daily News,  September 19, 2016:

Suspected bombmaker Ahmad Khan Rahami was picked up by cops in 2014 because he allegedly tried to stab his sister, authorities said.

He was arrested and spent two months in jail — but the case fell apart when Rahami’s sister recanted.  Perhaps if she put her jihadi brother behind bars, those bombings would not have happened.

On Monday, just hours after Rahami got into a shootout with cops and was arrested, a younger sister made a plea for privacy on Facebook.

“I would like people to respect my family’s privacy and let us have our peace after this tragic time. I would not like to answer any questions,” wrote Zobydha Rahami.

The young woman is studying at Rutgers University, according to her online profile. She hasn’t yet picked a major — but made an excited announcement about joining the university’s student newspaper, The Daily Targum.

“I am very excited to announce that I will be writing for The Daily Targum newspaper for Rutgers! Things are really looking up this year,” Rahami wrote Sept. 9.

The “supernatural”-loving student also posted several anti-Donald Trump memes and videos about the plight of Syrian children living with military air strikes.
