TRUMP’S EXCELLENT APPOINTMENTS TO PROTECT OUR NATIONAL SECURITY

Michael T Flynn.jpgPresident-elect Donald J. Trump has made three outstanding selections to protect America from its enemies: One is retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn as national security adviser in the White House, the second is retired General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense, and the third one is retired Marine Corps General John Francis Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security. Generals Flynn and Mattis were fired by Obama.

Retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn ran the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) from July 22, 2012 to August 7, 2014. Obama fired him for his disagreements with the president’s failed policies against the Islamic State or ISIS and dealings with Russia, China, and their allies. General Michael T. Flynn was nominated as director of national security in the White House.

General Flynn said he was fired in 2014 as director of the DIA for telling a congressional committee “that we were not as safe as we had been a few years back.” General Mattis was relieved of his command by the Obama administration because he was “hawkish on Iran.” It is interesting that these two patriotic and very competent generals have been offered very important posts by the president-elect.

Greg Miller wrote an article on November 17, 2016 in the Washington Post and said that retired Lieutenant General Flynn helped dismantle insurgent networks in Afghanistan and Iraq. The reporter said that as “national security adviser to Trump, retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn would be responsible for helping a president with no national security experience navigate complicated global issues including the unfinished campaign against the Islamic State, the expansionist agenda of China and rising aggression from Russia.”

Miller explained that Representative Devin Nunes, Republican from California who is Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and a member of the Trump transition team, stated the following: “This is a guy who has the president’s trust, has credentials with the military, credentials with the intelligence community and credibility with Congress. He’s a very serious person. He takes his job very seriously.”

Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn and Michael Ledeen wrote the book The Field of Fight: How We Can Win the Global War Against Radical Islam and its Allies (2016). Lieutenant General Flynn spent more than 33 years in Army intelligence and was Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). In that position, General Flynn worked closely with General Stanley McChrystal, General David Petraeus, Admiral Mike Mullen, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper; and other policy, defense, and intelligence officials. He coordinated on-the-ground operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts of the world, building reliable intelligence networks, and preparing strategic plans for fighting terrorism. General Flynn has been a witness to government screw-ups and censored information. He offered several solutions as to how to prevent radical Islam from forever taking hold around the world.

The authors of Field of Fight explained that the United States is failing in its fight against Islamic terrorism and provided a strategic formula as to how to proceed in the future. They said that the United States has not prepared adequately for conflict and war.

Michael T. Flynn and Michael Ledeen said that a war is being waged against the United States by radical Islamists and, as current events demonstrate, they are only getting stronger. Al-Qaeda has morphed into a much more dangerous, menacing threat, the Islamic State or ISIS. This book aims to inform the American people of the grave danger this country faces in the War on Terror―and will continue to face―until the government takes decisive action against the terrorists who want nothing more than to destroy the United States and its way of life.

The Field of Fight pointed out why America has failed to stop terrorist groups from growing and what America must do to stop them. The core message is that if you understand your enemies, it is a lot easier to defeat them―but because the U.S. government has concealed the actions of terrorists like Osama bin Laden and groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda, and the role of Iran in the rise of radical Islam, we don’t fully understand the enormity of the threat they pose against us.
The book asserted that the Unites States must find a way to not only fight better, but to win. Flynn and Ledeen argued in their book that the United States is facing a working coalition of enemies that includes radical Islamists, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.

On December 4, 2016, Cliff Kincaid wrote an article titled “Trump Assembles a War Cabinet to Meet Foreign Threats” which was published in the website Accuracy in Media. He praised the appointments of retired General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense and retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn as national security adviser. This is an indication that President-elect Donald J. Trump is prepared to meet foreign threats from Russia, China, and global Islam.

Kincaid said that General Flynn has been known for his criticism of President Obama for failing to identify radical Islamists as the enemy. But his book expands the list of enemies to Russia, which Kincaid found strange, since General Flynn had appeared at the Russia Today (RT) propaganda channel’s 10th anniversary celebration in Moscow sitting next to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The reporter explained the following: “Flynn’s co-author, Michael Ledeen, dismissed concern about Flynn’s attendance at the RT dinner, saying he attended a conference in Moscow, and ended up sitting next to the Russian dictator. That conference was sponsored by a Moscow-funded channel described as KGB-TV by a leading Soviet defector because of its transmission of Russian government propaganda and disinformation. Ledeen said that Flynn’s critics should read their book to understand his real views on Russia, and that he is not being soft on the Russians. In an interview, Flynn disclosed that he had previously made another surprising appearance in Russia and was the first U.S. officer ever allowed inside the headquarters of the GRU [Russian military intelligence].”

Kincaid said that General Flynn’s book identified an “enemy alliance” against the United States, with its “most active and powerful members” being Russia and Iran. General Flynn stated that there is “an alliance between Radical Islamists and regimes in Havana, Pyongyang, Moscow, and Beijing which is an international alliance of evil countries and movements that is working to destroy us.”

Kincaid believes that making America great again may require a military confrontation with Russia and its client states in the region. It may also require confronting China, whose communist rulers are objecting to a telephone call between President-elect Trump and the President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan, the first woman being elected president in history.

Kincaid explained the following: “One thing not in dispute is that Flynn thinks that the administration he served, headed by Barack Obama, tried to accommodate our enemies, selling out American interests in the process. Flynn writes that “I find it simply incredible that an American president should believe a strategic alliance with Iran to be more attractive than our traditional embrace of Israel.”

Consider these quotes from the book:

  • Obama “has shown great sympathy for anti-American ‘revolutionaries,’ and abandoned friendly tyrannies such as Hosni Mubarak’s Egypt and Zine Ben Ali’s Tunisia.”
  • “Obama has done his damndest to forge alliances with Hugo ChĂĄvez, before his death, the Castro brothers, and Ali Khamenei, but they and their cronies have all responded by redoubling their efforts to defeat us.”
  • Obama turned his back on the pro-democracy Green Movement in Iran because he was “heavily invested in secret outreach” to the Iranian regime.
  • Obama “has tiptoed around open criticism of Vladimir Putin’s many aggressive actions.”
  • The Obama Administration’s “open hostility to Israel” has been damaging to U.S. national security.”

Kincaid pointed out that General Flynn must understand that this is not just incredible and the result of accidental policies, but rather a deliberate effort to undermine the United States and its traditional alliances. If General Flynn wants to turn things around, General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense and him will have to lead a purge of the Clinton and Obama officials in the Pentagon and other agencies who have been deliberately withholding information about the nature of the threats and how American lives are in peril from an “enemy alliance” that Obama has been supporting as President of the United States.

https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51fNAqbv%2BXL.jpgOn page 143 of his book, General Flynn wrote about a “Russian connection” to radical Islam and stated the following: “As is so often the case when looking at the battlefield, I also found a Russia connection. When the Soviet empire fell, there were a lot of unemployed KGB officials scrambling to make a living. They were a perfect fit with the terror networks, had few moral compunctions about cooperating with violent anti-American organizations (they’d been doing it for decades), and over the few years many of the KGB’s safe houses, station headquarters, and secure communications networks were put at the disposal of terror groups.”

This writer has a chapter in his book The Gathering Threat of Russia, China, and Their Allies Against America (2016) with the title “Russia, the Center of Global Terrorism, Uses Radical Islam as a Weapon Against the West” where he made the same point as did General Flynn. His book discussed how President Barack Obama has made the United States a superpower in complete retreat in the world. The enemies of America, including Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and radical Islam, do not fear President Obama. The allies of America do not trust or respect Obama to defend them from their enemies.

The book explains how Vladimir Putin has frequently threatened nuclear war against America and its allies frequently. It is very important for Americans to understand that Russia is the number one geopolitical enemy of America.

Kincaid explained that he recently learned that Obama’s CIA director John Brennan had voted for the Communist Party ticket in 1976 and was nevertheless hired by the agency four years later. It is clear that standards for hiring intelligence officers have been dramatically lowered.

President-elect Donald J. Trump with retired General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis

President-elect Donald J. Trump met with General Mattis for a little over one hour on November 20, 2016. He later stated on Twitter the following: “General James “Mad Dog” Mattis, who is being considered for Secretary of Defense, was very impressive yesterday. A true General’s General!” On December 1, 2016, President-elect Trump announced at a rally in Cincinnati that he would nominate General Mattis for Secretary of Defense. As General Mattis retired from the military in 2013, his nomination will require a waiver of the National Security Act of 1947, which requires a seven-year wait period before retired military personnel can assume the role of Secretary of Defense.

General Kelly is the former commander of the U.S. Southern Command located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. General Kelly previously served as the commanding general of the Multi-National Force—West in Iraq from February 2008 to February 2009. On December 7, 2016, President-elect Donald J. Trump his selection of General Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Conclusion

President-elect Donald J. Trump has made three excellent appointments to protect the national security and the U.S.boundaries. One is retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn as national security adviser in the White House, the second is retired General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense, and the third one is retired Marine Corps General John Francis Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security.

The liberal and socialist media will criticized these three appointments as having too many generals in the future Tromp admiration. However, previous Democratic and Republican presidents have nominated many retired generals to important posts in their administrations. The liberal mainstream media will attack and criticize Donald J. Trump every day. But who cares? This media showed clearly how biased it was in this election and previous elections and it is completely discredited.
