Woman born in Nazi Germany asked about Trump-Hitler comparisons; her response is jaw-dropping

By now, we’ve grown used to the left’s tactic of accusing anyone they disagree with of being a Nazi. In the case of President Trump, the comparisons to Adolf Hitler have reached a fever pitch. Despite the rhetoric, the irony is that fascist tactics rest exclusively with the left. After all, it’s the left that violently tries to intimidate people with dissenting views, and it’s the left that wants to silence any sort of speech with which they disagree. These tactics are trademarks of fascism, yet Trump is the second coming of Hitler according to the left.

The left’s ignorance of history is astonishing, especially considering the rule of Adolf Hitler wasn’t that long ago. In fact, there are still people alive today who lived through the Nazi regime. One such person is Inga Andrews, and when she was asked about her thoughts on how President Trump compares to Hitler, she had a surprising take.

From IJ Review:

“What is going on in this country is giving me chills. Trump is not like Hitler. Just because a leader wants order doesn’t mean they’re like a dictator.

What reminds me more of Hitler than anything else isn’t Trump, it’s the destruction of freedom of speech on the college campuses — the agendas fueled by the professors.

That’s how Hitler started, he pulled in the youth to miseducate them, to brainwash them, it’s happening today.”

Andrews, who lived through some of the worst years of the Nazi regime, went on to criticize American colleges for neglecting real history:

“It saddens me that we are teaching garbage in the schools and in the college. We don’t teach history anymore. History repeats itself over and over.

The kids out there today haven’t ever lived through a war like I did. I remember sitting in a rock pile, cleaning rocks, to rebuild Germany. I remember eating maple leaves and grass to survive.”

Her story is compelling, and offers some insight into what it’s really like to live in a fascist dictatorship. And despite the left trying to tie President Trump to Hitler, she believes it is modern liberals who have more in common with the government under which she grew up.
