Breaking: MAJOR shake up at the DNC

Heads of two political entities do the exact same thing once they take the reigns…but the media puts a completely different spin on them. Coverage depends upon…you got it: political party.

After being sworn into office, Attorney General Jeff Sessions did what most administrative heads do after a new party is ushered into office…he asked for the resignation of staffers held over from the previous administration. However, in his case, it cause a media firestorm.

“Firings,” declared the media, and the Twitterati. Few mentioned Sessions’ move is Standard Operating Procedure. Even fewer discussed the fact that there have been DOJ leaks in the wake of Russiagate, necessitating such a move for prudence sake alone.

However, late today came the news that newly minted chair of the Democratic Party, Tom Perez issued a memo asking for the resignation of the entire DNC staff by next month, after stunning losses that saw the party lose not just the presidency, but seats in both chambers of Congress and a number of governorships.

However, this move has been branded by the media as “necessary” to recoup the momentum and reboot the party.

According to The Blaze:

Party staff routinely see major turnover with a new boss and staffers were alerted earlier to expect such a move. However, the mass resignation letters will give Perez a chance to completely remake the DNC’s headquarters from scratch. Staffing had already reached unusual lows following a round of layoffs in December.

The fact that the move is standard is now being reported. The move is further being characterized as giving new party chairman, Tom Perez, a chance to inject new life into the DNC. Boy, does that ever sound different that “firing” Obama’s folks after a change in leadership, as though Jeff Sessions was the reincarnation of Ebenezer Scrooge on the eve of Christmas!

The hypocrisy is strong with the media, for sure.
