First of all, wish you all a very Happy Memorial Day. Memorial Day is an important day in America. It’s a day to give thanks, to pay tribute and to remember those who gave their lives to protect our country. The day first originated in the United States as Decoration Day right after the American Civil War of 1868. Grand Army of the Republic which was an organization of Union veterans that was founded in Decatur, Illinois had first established it.
In reality, we should be thankful every single day of the year, but the third Monday of May is the official day where we all come together to honor our fallen soldiers.
