“Tomorrow evening, Jews around the world will look back with wonder at the miraculous rebirth of our nation, and we look ahead with pride at the remarkable contributions Israel will continue to make to all nations,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in his address to the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, a day ahead of Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.
While warning against the Iranian nuclear threat, Netanyahu stressed Israel’s ability to defend itself. He described the Jewish state’s outstanding diplomatic successes across the globe and its exceptional innovation that enhances humanitarian aid to nations in need.
