Back last year — sounds funny saying that, but last December — I shared with y’all my thoughts about why the Democrats were all of a sudden clamoring about President Trump firing Robert Mueller. I postulated that the left, as always, were all on the same sheet of music, to include their liberal progressive media accomplices, in trying to goad Trump into doing this. What they really wanted was for the Mueller special prosecution to end. They realized they’d opened up their own Pandora’s box and really bad stuff was coming out. Just imagine this, without the Mueller special investigation, perhaps we would have NEVER known anything about Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and the boatload of chicanery emanating from the FBI.
This whole scheme has indeed backfired on the left, and they’re scrambling to have it end and shift the narrative — hence the rhetoric about a constitutional crisis. I guess our dear progressive socialist friends never believed there were aggressive hawks on the GOP side who would relentlessly pursue them…to every end.
And now, the entire Russia, Russia, Russia escapade has taken a very different turn for the left and the Democrat Party. Perhaps that’s why their new narrative is that President Trump has a mental issue — according to the renowned doctor of psychiatry, Joy Behar. Regardless, the Russia collusion spotlight has now shifted, and like rats on the Titanic, the left is scurrying about.
As reported by Fox News, “Two top Republican senators have formally recommended that the Justice Department and FBI investigate the author of the controversial anti-Trump “dossier,” in the first known criminal referral from Congress as part of lawmakers’ Russia probes.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., made the referral in a Jan. 4-dated letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray. The move ramps up congressional Republicans’ investigation of the salacious document and those involved in creating it, as Special Counsel Robert Mueller continues to probe Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion with Trump associates.
The dossier was authored by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, who was hired by opposition research firm Fusion GPS. In their brief letter, the GOP lawmakers cited potential violations for false statements “the Committee has reason to believe Mr. Steele made regarding his distribution of information contained in the dossier.”
The [New York] Times reported that the senators claim Steele may have lied to federal authorities specifically about his contacts with reporters regarding the dossier contents. The Times said the referral is likely based on newly obtained reports of Steele’s meetings with the FBI. Democrats fired back at the senators’ move. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said in a statement: “Sadly, the first major action taken by the Republican majority on the Judiciary Committee seems to be aimed at someone who reported wrongdoing, rather than committed it.”
Of course, the Democrats fired back because here is the issue for them. This “dossier” developed by Christopher Steele was done in collusion with the Russians. The dossier was paid for with funds funneled to Fusion GPS through the Democrat National Committee that are tied back to the “Hillary Clinton for President” campaign. In other words, Hillary Clinton used the DNC as cover to fund a salacious and false report, developed in conjunction with Russian sources to influence the 2016 American presidential elections. Whine as you may, be these are all facts that have been uncovered.
Now, the further issue is whether or not this false dossier was used as a basis to conduct unwarranted surveillance of the Trump transition team by the FBI. Yes, did the dossier, put together by a former British intelligence agent, who worked with the Russians, and was paid via an opposition research firm, that employed a woman married to an FBI agent with ties to the investigation and surveillance of the Trump transition team, and said opposition research firm was paid by the DNC, serve as a cover for funds of the Hillary Clinton campaign used to acquire said dossier?
This is an intricate web of deceit that the leftists never believed would be uncovered…oops. Perhaps if the left had just licked their wounds and moved on, accepting they’d lost a presidential election, none of this would be happening.
We wouldn’t know of all these connections such as FBI Agent Bruce Ohr and his Fusion GPS employee wife. Or that of Peter Strzok and his involvement with the Clinton email server investigation and “doctoring up” the findings report changing the words “gross negligence” to careless. Let me explain something to y’all, being careless with classified materials in the military still results in your butt being sent to prison.
Of course, the response from the left will always be, “I disagree with your facts, and this is just a vast right-wing conspiracy.” Nah, this is the real unmasking of the progressive socialist left, and their deep infiltration into the Department of Justice, the FBI, and their desire to maintain power at any cost. Ya know that if the role were reversed here, there would be outcries from the left, especially their echo chamber bird dog media allies.
Now instead, the left wants to talk about some book on the White House, or tell us President Trump is nuts. They’re doing all they can to distract, but the key to this game is focus and discipline – by the way, can someone get that message to President Trump?
Right now, the economy is doing well, and our foreign policy is on the right track in emphasizing our strength. The Democrat Party has no message besides hate Donald Trump and impeach him. All the while they’re standing there guilty as sin, praying, hoping, that the GOP won’t be relentless in hammering them.
In ancient warfare, the most dangerous phase of battle was the pursuit phase. That was where the defeated army was routed, driven from the battlefield, and this is where the GOP has the Democrats at this moment. I suggest the GOP learn the lesson of the Battle of Gettysburg when Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia had been defeated on day three. Union General Meade decided not to pursue them, finish them off…and thus the Civil War went on for another two years.
We had a saying when I was in the military, “why do you kick a man when he is down?” The answer is simple, “because he’s close to your foot.” In every way, every policy debate, the GOP needs to keep kicking and go on offense because one never wins on defense.
Keep presenting the message that the only example of Russian collusion is the fake dossier Hillary Clinton paid for that was used by the FBI against President Trump. After all, it was Hillary Clinton who gave the Russians that cute little yellow box with the red “reset button”…reset what?
Keep kicking on Uranium One. Keep kicking on the illegal private email server and the fact that Hillary Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin, mishandled classified information, to include passwords. Keep kicking and do not let up in uncovering the disconcerting level of corruption at the senior levels of the FBI and the Department of Justice. Keep kicking and render Robert Mueller irrelevant and ineffective to the point that the left will secretly ask him to end his faux investigation.
The bottom line is simple, during the 2016 presidential election, the only ones who colluded with the Russians to influence the election were Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion GPS, and certain members of the FBI.
Like we said in the Army, “smoke ’em if ya got ’em.”
