Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) confirmed Wednesday from the Senate floor the Russia dossier was “unverified in 2016” when Obama’s FBI/DOJ used it to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Trump and his private associates.
Paul Sperry of the New York Post reported:
“BREAKING: Senate Judiciary chair Grassley today from floor of Senate explained that his criminal referral vs Steele is based on contradictions in statements he made in a UK libel suit against him & ones he made to FBI agents during briefings about the dossier he wrote for Hillary”

Sperry concludes Hillary Clinton coordinated the FBI hit.

Senator Grassley blasted the FBI for lying.
“Senator Grassley in floor speech earlier today complained that “the FBI is falsely claiming” that a memo seeking a criminal referral on Steele for making false statements to the FBI contains classified information and therefore cannot be shared with the press or public.”

Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray in early January demanding they investigate if Christopher Steele lied to federal authorities.
