About a year ago, The New York Times and many other liberal outlets criticized Trump for pointing out the fact that crime is out of control in Sweden thanks in large part to the decision to let in hundreds of thousands of unvetted migrants.
It was a baffling move to pretend that the violence in Sweden wasnât happening. And make no mistake. Itâs happening.

Newly released figures from the Swedish criminal statistics agency BrÄ have shown that reported rape cases have increased by 10 per cent in 2017 and the country saw some 1.5 million crimes in total.
An average of 20 rape incidents were reported per day in Sweden in 2017 for a total of 7,230 cases according to the newly released statistics. Other sexual crimes also increased last year including sexual abuse and exploitation which went up by seven per cent. Sexual assault was up 3 per cent resulting in a total of 10,300 cases, Expressenreports.
The numbers are there a simple Google search will tell you everything you need to know about that.
This week, something weird happened. The New York Times basically admitted they were wrong to criticize Trump and reported on the violence in Sweden.

The New York Times published a report Sunday on Swedenâs growing problem with immigrant gangs â more than a year after the paper chided President Donald Trump for calling attention to the same worrisome development.
Entitled âHand Grenades and Gang Violence Rattle Swedenâs Middle Class,â the report examines how weapons of war and clan-like violence have accompanied an influx of immigrants from certain parts of Europe and the greater Middle East.
It was one of more than 100 incidents involving military-grade explosives in the Stockholm metro area that police have attributed to an âarms raceâ among immigrant gangs, reports TheNYT. There were only a few such incidents in Sweden until 2014, but since then, the number of explosions and seizures of grenades has shot up and remained worryingly high.

In February last year, President Trump attempted to highlight the situation in Sweden, telling a campaign rally: ââŠlook at whatâs happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this?â
Immediately, the establishment media kicked in to deny Swedenâs mass migration problems. The Washington Postsaid he left Europeans âbaffledâ, while Politico spun the lines of pro mass migration campaigners to deny the situation. CNN went even further, lampooning the soon-to-be Presidentâs warnings with the opening line: âHas someone stolen our meatballs?â
Now the New York Times has admitted parts of Sweden are being turned into war zones, with the use of grenades and military weapons from 1990s Yugoslavia. They quote kebab shop owner and asylum seeker Paul Borisho who â like many Europeans â expressed fear and concern over the trajectory of the continent: âNow, when I think of the future, I am afraid⊠I am afraid for Europe.â
What took these guys so long?
Obviously, the mainstream media will still insist that talking about migrant violence makes you a racist. But itâs nice to see some of the mainstream liberal outlets at least mentioning it.
