Y’all know I love to shine a light on progressive socialist hypocrisy. And business is always good, as there are plenty of fine examples. Consider all the hatred, angst, boycotts, and general ugliness focused towards the nation’s oldest civil rights organization, the National Rifle Association (NRA). Some of the recent hyperbolic denigration hurled at the NRA in the aftermath of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting has been “killing children” and “murderers.” If you saw the CNN town hall, you witnessed a young student confronting Senator Marco Rubio about receiving campaign contributions from the NRA.
Frankly, just about all an elected official gets from the NRA is a grade, a rating, on gun issues.
But consider this duplicitous hypocrisy, as reported by Townhall.com, “Sensing a bad year for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections, Planned Parenthood has decided to embark on a massive midterm election campaign.
The pro-abortion organization plans to drop $20 million this cycle, focusing on eight states with competitive races. It’s the organization’s largest midterm election effort in its history. So, if you’re a Democrat in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, be somewhat relieved that cash is coming.
Yet, five vulnerable red state Democrats with decent to solid ratings from Planned Parenthood have been left in the wilderness. Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), and Jon Tester (D-MT) won’t be seeing a dime, even though McCaskill, Tester, and Heitkamp all have 100 percent ratings from Planned Parenthood. Maybe PP think these five can win in 2018, or maybe the organization is sending a strong message that supporting progressives more than their conservative to center-right faction is more important. On the latter, the organization could be saying we’re supporting the urban bastion of power for Democrats that it’s going to be die-hard progressives from here on out. We’ll see.”
For starters let’s make this comparison. The National Rifle Association was incorporated in 1871 in New York City. Its stated purpose was to improve rifle marksmanship after the Civil War. Its first leader was Union General Ambrose Burnside. The NRA stood with freed blacks against the tyranny of the Ku Klux Klan to ensure they enjoyed their Second Amendment right.
On the other hand, Planned Parenthood is the brain child of a white supremacist, a racist, who spoke at KKK rallies, Margaret Sanger. Sanger is known for having referred to blacks as weeds and undesirables, and a great number of Planned Parenthood clinics are located in urban, black, communities. The primary purpose for the creation of Planned Parenthood, and continues to today, is to murder unborn American children. We need to stop using the language of “abortion” — in the military we “abort” a mission. However, every day, all across America, Planned Parenthood is murdering, killing, unborn babies…and selling baby body parts. I do not, and will not ever support this as a means of birth control. And let me remind you, that since Roe v Wade in 1973, 19 million black babies have suffered the horrors of Planned Parenthood.
Hmm, where are the boycotts of Planned Parenthood? Where are the disparaging attacks?
You see, when you get a 100 percent rating from the NRA that means you fully support the constitutional right guaranteed to an individual American citizen to keep and bear arms. It means you’re just like the writers of the Constitution and you support a critical part of our Bill of Rights. When you receive a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood, that means you agree with infanticide — yes, that’s what happens in the third trimester, the murder of an unborn child.
When you get a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood it means you support an organization, founded by a white supremacist and racist, receiving $568.7 million in American taxpayer funds. Planned Parenthood is a private sector, not for profit organization that’s running millions of dollars in profit. The NRA receives no taxpayer funding, albeit it safeguards an original constitutional right, its donations are member-generated, just Americans who want their Second Amendment right protected.
So, an organization founded by a white supremacist and racist whose primary purpose is to kill unborn American babies…or those of illegal immigrants as well…that receives $568.7 million in taxpayer funds is planning to spend $20 million in the 2018 midterm election cycle. And folks are condemning and boycotting the NRA?
