Facebook Censorship
Nearly 50 US senators and congressmen grilled Mark Zuckerberg this week about Facebook’s political bias and he did a poor job denying anti-conservative bias.
Facebook is blocking conservative groups from sending you the news you want to see in your Facebook news feed.
Censorship questions focused on the outspoken, pro-Trump duo, Diamond and Silk, who Facebook recently labeled “unsafe to the community.” With 1.4 million followers on their Facebook page, it’s more likely that Facebook finds the outspoken activists to be a threat to liberals than unsafe to the “community.” Therefore you are not getting the news you are expecting from most Facebook pages that provide news from Bear Witness Central.
Even though Facebook pretends to give you the control over what you “Like” or “Follow,” in reality, they’re denying you the chance to ever see posts from those pages.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, also pulled no punches when he unapologetically confronted Zuckerberg during Tuesday’s Senate hearing. Cruz also focused on censorship of conservative voices on Facebook. The cross-examination was a sight to behold. Cruz forced Zuckerberg to answer questions that many were hoping he would be forced to face. They weren’t disappointed.
Zuckerberg had nowhere to pivot and his explanation was perfectly rehearsed and weak at best; and so inconceivable that it was insulting at worst.
This censorship from a large liberal California company is bad for our democracy and it directly interferes with your ability to get the news you want. Luckily, you can fix it.
It’s time to take measures into your own hands to make sure you see the news you want to see.
Here’s how to make sure that you keep seeing the articles and videos (and you can use the same steps to fix this issue for any other news outlet that you want to add).

ACTIVELY TELL FACEBOOK YOU WANT TO SEE OUR CONTENT
If you go and like Bear Witness Central on Facebook, you can actually set your preferences to make sure you see every piece of our content, not just what Zuckerberg wants you to see.
Step 1) At the top of our page, you’ll notice a drop down menu that’s labeled “FOLLOWING.”

Step 2) If you click into the menu, you’ll be hit with a couple of options for “IN YOUR NEWSFEED.” Select “See First”
SHARE OUR CONTENT AND ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME
According to Facebook, publishers are going to be suppressed much harder than individuals, but there’s an easy solution: post our content directly to your own page.
Step 1) If you see something, say something. Read an interesting article? Post it to your wall. You can also post directly from our website. Log in to your Facebook page and click the Facebook icon at the bottom of each article.
Step 2) Foster a debate. What was so important about this particular piece? Write about it in the comment. Tag your friends. Spread the message.
Step 3) Repeat daily and tell your friends to do the same.
Facebook might be able to censor publishers with blue checkmarks, but like Zuck himself said Wednesday, they literally can’t hire enough people to police every single person on the site.
