Melania Trump Undergoes Kidney Surgery At Walter Reed Hospital.

First Lady is said to have a “benign kidney condition” and is recovering.

First Lady Melania Trump is reportedly recovering after an “embolization procedure’ at Walter Reed Army Hospital on Monday morning.

According to CNN, the First Lady underwent the kidney surgery to address a “benign” condition, and surgery went well, with no complications. Mrs. Trump is expected to remain in the hospital for about a week as she recovers from the procedure.

The President was at the White House Monday morning while his wife was in surgery.

Doctors at Walter Reed are pleased with the outcome of the procedure and expect the First Lady to make a full recovery. The First Lady’s communications office released a media statement later this morning after Mrs. Trump was out of surgery.

“This morning, first lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful, and there were no complications,” the First Lady’s office said. “Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The first lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.”

The Internet was, of course, it’s reliably sweet self.

We wish the First Lady all the best for a speedy and full recovery.
