Trump Breaks Silence Over Cohen Guilty Plea With Trolling Tweet.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer officially and dramatically “flipped” on him, pleading guilty to, among other charges, knowingly violating campaign finance law at the direction of a federal candidate (read Trump) by paying a total of $280,000 in “hush money” to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and porn star Stormy Daniels with the “principal purpose of influencing an election.”

After conspicuously not mentioning the bombshell guilty plea at a rally in West Virginia Tuesday night, Trump finally addressed the issue on Twitter Wednesday morning in true Trump style.

“If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!” he wrote. And that’s it.

As Trump trolls his “fixer”-turned-archnemesis, Cohen is looking to raise some cash, his lawyer Lanny Davis launching a GoFundMe account Wednesday with the goal of raising $500,000 to cover his expenses while he courageously battles dark forces to finally “tell the truth about Donald Trump.”

Cohen’s crusade to “tell the truth” follows a headline-grabbing day in front of a judge in which he pleaded guilty to a total of eight charges: “five counts of tax evasion; one count of making false statements to a financial institution; one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporation contribution; and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate.”

While Trump didn’t reference Cohen’s plea at the rally Tuesday night, on his way to the rally he vaguely commented on the cases against Cohen and his former campaign manager Paul Manafort — who was found guilty on 8 of 18 charges on Tuesday, none of which were related to Trump’s campaign — telling reporters, “This has nothing to do with Russian collusion. This is a witch hunt, and it’s a disgrace.”
