Chairman of the Senate Intel Committee Richard Burr once again came out and defended President Trump against Russia witch hunt.
Burr, no ally of the President said on Wednesday in a FOX News interview that 19 months into the investigation and he has seen no evidence that Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election.
“Maybe we find something in the next several interviews that are evidence of collusion. I don’t think so with what we’ve seen,” Burr said.
“I can say as it relates to the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation that we have no hard evidence of collusion,” Burr continued.
The North Carolina Senator said he expects the Senate Intel Panel to wrap up its investigation by the end of the year.
Senator Burr made a similar statement last month in an interview with the Associated Press.
Burr previously released a statement slamming John Brennan’s claims that President Trump’s campaign colluded with a foreign power.
President Trump tweeted about Burr’s statements Wednesday.
