The Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans have released the executive summary of the FBI’s latest background investigation into nominee Brett Kavanaugh, which shows FBI agents focused on interviewing witnesses who might have first-hand knowledge of alleged sexual misconduct against the Supreme Court nominee.
The FBI interviewed 10 people (an 11th did not agree to be interviewed). In its conclusion, the report says: “The Supplemental Background Investigation confirms what the Senate Judiciary Committee concluded after its investigation: there is no corroboration of the allegations made by Dr. Ford or Ms. Ramirez.”
Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of touching her inappropriately at a high school party 36 years ago, and Deborah Ramirez claims Kavanaugh flashed his penis at a party at Yale 35 years ago.
“The FBI provided to the Senate 12 detailed FD-302 reports summarizing their interviews with the witnesses as well as supporting materials cited by the witnesses during their interviews,” the summary reads, according to Fox News.
Among those questioned were Mark Judge, PJ Smyth, and Leland Keyser, the three individuals Christine Blasey Ford claimed were present in the house when Kavanaugh allegedly threw her on a bed and sexually assaulted her sometime in the 1980s (Ford has variously claimed the episode occurred in the mid-1980s and early 1980s, before testifying that it occurred in 1982).

Background
At the Senate Judiciary Committee’s request, the FBI opened a supplemental background investigation into Judge Kavanaugh. It’s his seventh FBI background investigation in 25 years, going back to 1993. The request was for an investigation into current credible allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.
In the course of its investigation, the FBI decided to reach out to eleven people, ten of whom agreed to be interviewed. The FBI reached out to all witnesses with potential firsthand knowledge of the allegations. The FBI provided to the Senate 12 detailed FD-302 reports summarizing their interviews with the witnesses as well as supporting materials cited by the witnesses during their interviews.
