Leeds United have confirmed Manchester City winger Jack Harrison will remain at the club for another loan spell next season.

The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons at Leeds and has played a major role in Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season, scoring six goals and creating eight more in 44 games, as Leeds secured promotion back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence as champions.

It could be a busy summer for the Yorkshire club as they prepare for the rigours of top flight football but the future of Harrison is already resolved as director of football Victor Orta has confirmed he will spend another year on loan at Elland Road.

“A key player has been Jack Harrison, who will continue one more year with us in the Premier League,” Orta told Radio Mallorca, via HITC.

“We have reached an agreement with City and we will continue to do so on loan next season.”

How Real Madrid are preparing for Manchester City clash

Zinedine Zidane has confirmed he will give his Real Madrid players some time off before their Champions League showdown with Manchester City.

Madrid confirmed their status as La Liga champions last week.

They travel to the Etihad on August 7 aiming to overturn a 2-1 defeat in the first-leg.

Zidane said:

“It is not a holiday that we have now. Now, I don’t think about City. We want to disconnect a bit, then we will have all the time to think. We will have 10-15 days to think. We will disconnect.

“Until the last second we are going to fight to go to that final, but now you don’t have to think about the Champions League. It is time to rest and think about gathering strength. The final stretch has been a tremendous effort. Now we all need some relaxation. This is what we are going to do.

“After these four or five days off, we go back and think about the Champions League. No stress or worries.”

Why full details of Man City CAS victory vs Uefa may remain secret

Manchester City and Uefa could both have good reason to object to the publication of the details of the Blues’ Uefa ban triumph.

The club was delighted last week when the independent Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced that it had cleared City of the governing body’s allegatons that they had breached financial fair play rules.

Man City ‘told how much’ Ferran Torres would cost and more transfer rumours

Valencia have placed a price tag of £39million on Manchester City target Ferran Torres, according to reports.

Following City’s successful appeal of a two-year ban from Champions League football they are in a much stronger position to strengthen their squad this summer, which is needed after a disappointing domestic campaign.

M.E.N. Sport understands that a centre-back or two is the club’s top priority this summer but the Blues are also looking at whether there is value in the market to sign a new winger following the departure of Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich.

It’s understood that Valencia starlet Torres is on City’s shortlist as he could be available on the cheap this summer as there is only a year remaining on his contract at the Mestella, with the La Liga club set to sell some of their squad due to financial issues.

Shaun Goater tells Man City boss Pep Guardiola how to solve Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero dilemma

Manchester City should consider buying a new striker to replace Sergio Aguero this summer, even if Gabriel Jesus is finally getting the freedom to show his potential.

That is the opinion of City legend Shaun Goater, who says Aguero’s knee injury has allowed Jesus the run of games he has needed to show Pep Guardiola he is worthy of being the club’s first choice striker.
