The struggling Chiefs have suffered a blow after lethal winger Solomon Alaimalo was ruled out for the remainder of the Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign due to injury.

Alaimalo, who crossed for a try in the team’s most recent defeat to the Blues, dislocated his left shoulder in the fixture in Auckland last Sunday.
The news is another setback for Warren Gatland’s men as they look to end a six-game losing run in the domestic competition at home to the Crusaders.
Currently the Chiefs sit rooted to the bottom of the Super Rugby Aotearoa table and will miss Alaimalo’s threat against New Zealand’s pace-setters.
After this weekend’s difficult game, the Chiefs travel to face the in-form Hurricanes before finishing their disappointing campaign with a bye week.
