Webinar | USA BETRAYED — Pulling the Plug: Who’s Helping the CCP to Take Down U.S. Energy Security?

In the aftermath of President Biden’s initial executive orders restricting U.S. fossil fuel production and pipelines, the nation and the world have been rocked by a cascading series of shocks making clear the error of such steps. With Russia’s subsequent invasion of Ukraine, its energy warfare in retaliation for Europe’s economic sanctions, drought-induced shortfalls in U.S. hydropower generation, galloping inflation in transportation and air conditioning costs and power interruptions in California, it is no longer possible to ignore two questions: Why is the United States deliberately reducing its energy security and who is principally benefiting from its doing so?

This CPDC webinar in the “USA Betrayed” series explores, among other topics: the decisions taken to date by the Biden administration and its allies, foreign and domestic, that have helped transform the United States from an energy independent and exporting nation into one again reliant on others to meet domestic demand; the risks associated with the use of the strategic petroleum reserve to manipulate prices at the gas pump; the continued reliance on Chinese high-voltage transformers and other critical equipment in the U.S. electric grid; the predictable repercussions of an energy crisis this winter in Europe; and the benefits that accrue to our enemies from the foregoing.
