Mets vs. Braves postponed for second straight day due to rain

The steady stream of rain in New York has washed out the Mets-Braves game once again.

The Mets announced their Sunday afternoon game against the Braves has been postponed and will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Monday at 1:10 p.m.

Saturday’s game was also postponed due to rain, and that game will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Aug. 12.

Tickets to Sunday’s originally scheduled game aren’t valid for admission to Monday’s doubleheader.

Fans will receive a digital voucher that can be exchanged for a ticket to a future game.

Saturday’s rainout pushed back the return of Max Scherzer, who’s 10-game suspension for violating MLB’s sticky-stuff rules won’t be complete until the end of the Braves series, if both games are played Monday when the forecast is clearer.
