A man suspected of shooting dead at least three people at two separate Jewish centers in Kansas City screamed out ‘Heil Hilter’ as he was arrested this afternoon.

Terrified parents flocked to The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City where teenagers were auditioning for KC Superstar at a theater- a state-wide talent competition.

The first shooting was reported at 1pm on Sunday at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, according to an Overland Park Fire Department spokesman inside the Lewis and Shirley White Theatre inside the center.

The second shooting was reported at Village Shalom, which is an assisted living center at 5500 West 123rd St.

The screaming suspect was taken into custody at the Valley View Park Elementary School, which is a mile away from Village Shalom. KCTV5′s Bonyen Lee says the suspect appeared to yell ‘Heil Hitler’ as he was being led away in handcuffs by Overland Park police.

Authorities haven’t released the name of a woman or girl who was killed minutes later in an attack at a Jewish retirement community a few blocks away.

Police arrested a man in his 70s after the shootings. They haven’t released his name but have said they don’t think he knew the victims.

Police have declined to say if they think the attack was motivated by anti-Semitism.
