Look at the Group Obama Kept OUT of His “Anti-Extremism” Summit… It’s Revealing

Barack Obama’s decision-making skills aren’t exactly great when they come to the Muslim community. Take, for example, the White House Countering Violent Extremism Summit.

Wouldn’t that be a perfect opportunity to invite moderate Muslim groups into the fold? Muslim groups that had left the religious intolerance of Islam behind?

One might think this would be the perfect venue for such ideas. However — at least according to Obama’s White House — one would be wrong.

A group of Islamic reformers are seething over their rejection by the White House, who ignored their claims that Islam needed to be retaken from those who wish to do damage to hu

manity.

“We have to own the issue of extremist Islamic theology in order to defeat it and remove it from our world. We have to name it to tame it,” Muslim journalists Asra Nomani and Hala Arafa wrote in the Daily Beast. (H/T Washington Examiner.)

“Among Muslims, stuck in face-saving, shame-based cultures, we need to own up to our extremist theology instead of always reverting to a strategy of denial, deflection and demonization.”

In a summit designed to help Islamic religious leaders resist radicalization from “outside sources,” these were people who were conspicuously uninvited from the event.

Meanwhile, here are some of the invitees:

  • Ali Jakvani, a man who posted a Facebook selfie with Sheikh Khalid Yasin, a proponent of Shariah law who believes Muslim men should be able to beat their wives when they become willful.
  • Salam Al-Marayati, the president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. On 9/11, he said, “If we are going to look at suspects, we should look at groups that benefit the most from these kinds of incidents, and I think we should put the state of Israel on the suspect list.”
  • Nicole Mossalam. The Bostonian Muslim leader lied about her mosque’s order to block congregants from sharing information with police during the Boston bombing investigation.

What was that Bible verse again? “By their fruit you will recognize them … ?”

Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree Muslim moderates should have been allowed into the White House Countering Violent Extremism Summit.
