Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been involved in a great number of scandals over the years. One of the worst scandals is how the Clinton Foundation has accepted millions from foreign countries and shady individuals over a number of years. Some analysts believe this major scandal could derail Hillary Clintonâs 2016 presidential campaign.
Amy Chozick wrote an article entitled âNew Book, âClinton Cash,â Questions Foreign Donations to Foundationâ which was published in the New York Times on April 19, 2015. The reporter explained that the book will not be available until May 5, 2015 but already the Republican presidential candidate Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky has called the information from this book âbig newsâ that will âshock peopleâ and make voters âquestionâ the candidacy of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Peter Schweizer, a well-known writer, wrote a 186-page book entitled Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich.â The author analyzed large donations made to the Clinton Foundation by foreign governments and individuals.
Peter Schweizer explained that the leaders of foreign nations who made large donations to the Clinton Foundation and to former President Bill Clinton through very high speaking fees received favors from the State Department under Hillary Clinton in return. Schweizer wrote that âWe will see a pattern of financial transactions involving the Clintons that occurred contemporaneous with favorable U.S. policy decisions benefiting those providing the funds.â Reporter Amy Chozick said that the author of the book used as examples âA free-trade agreement in Colombia that benefited a major foundation donorâs natural resource investments in the South American nation, development projects in the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake in 2010, and more than $1 million in payments to Mr. Clinton by a Canadian bank and major shareholder in the Keystone XL oil pipeline around the time the project was being debated in the State Department.â
This new book Clinton Cash could damage Hillary Clintonâs presidential campaign because major news organizations, such as Fox News, the Washington Post and the New York Times, have exclusive agreements with the author, Peter Schweizer, to publish part of the information of his book. Both Republican Senator Marco Rubio from Florida and Republican Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky have been briefed on the bookâs findings.
Hillary Clintonâs campaign staffers, Democrats and the liberal media have already begun to attack the author of the book alleging that he has a bias against Hillary Clinton. They are attacking the messenger and not examining the message to protect the former first lady. Peter Schweizer is a former speechwriting consultant to former President George W. Bush and a fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution. He has written articles for the conservative website Breitbart.com.
Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity interviewed on April 21, 2015 Judge Andrew Napolitano. The judge stated that in his opinion the revelations in the book Clinton Cash could be grounds for a criminal indictment. The findings in Peter Schweizerâs book reveal that the Hillary Clinton State Department traded favors for big donations to the Clinton Foundation and speaking fees for Bill Clinton. The author wrote that he has evidence of a âpay-to-play scheme.â
Schweizer, however, wrote that he cannot prove the allegations, leaving that up to a possible prosecutor or other investigative reporters to continue to investigate the donations to the Clinton Foundation. Schweizer raised questions about donors and possible conflicts of interest.
Amy Chozick explained in her article that Schweizer pointed out that the Clinton Foundation did not disclose some shady donors. He cited the example of Canadian tax records as evidence of a $2 million donation from the Fernwood Foundation that Schweizer says went unreported. The author also said that he found a $40,000 donation in the form of stocks from the Dattels Family Foundation that was listed on their website but not on the Clintonsâ donor list.
Among the shady donors was the Sudanese Lundin Group, a mining, oil and gas company that was investigated for war crimes and has reportedly reaped massive profits in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo. Lundin committed $100 million to the Clinton Foundation shortly after Hillary Clinton announced her presidential candidacy in 2007.

The dictator Omar al-Bashir became the first sitting president to be indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for directing a campaign of mass killing, rape, and pillage against Christian civilians in southern region of Darfur.
In the Darfur region the Muslim Brotherhood government of Sudan has assassinated up to 400,000 Christians. Thousands of Christian women were raped and kidnapped and given to Muslim men in the north of the country as well as their Christian children. All of them were forced to become Muslims. The civil war has displaced over 2.5 million people out of a total population of 6.2 million in Darfur.
In July 2008, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno Ocampo, accused al-Bashir of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Darfur. The court issued an arrest warrant for the bloody dictator Omar al-Bashir on March 4, 2009.
President Barack Obamaâs oldest brother, Malik Obama, works with Sudanâs dictator Omar al-Bashir. As Secretary-General of the Islamic Da´wa Organization (IDO), Malik Obama spoke at conference in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan in 2010. One of the major objectives of the IDO is to spread Saudi Arabia´s radical Wahhabist Islam across the African continent, the Middle East, the United Sates and the world. Al-Qaeda terrorists, including its founder Osama bin Laden, as well as most of the 9/11 terrorists who attacked our nation, were followers of the Wahhabist version of Islam. Additionally, Malik Obama is raising money for the terrorist organization of Hamas in Gaza. How astounding and shameful was for the Clinton Foundation to have accepted a $100 million commitment from a Sudanese mining company that was investigated for war crimes! Even more shameful and dangerous is the fact that President Barack Obamaâs brother is working with the Muslim Brotherhood regime of dictator Omar al-Bashir and to be raising funds for the terrorist organization of Hamas in Gaza.
Amy Chozick pointed out that Schweizer also wrote about another large donor to the Clinton Foundation, Mohammed al-Amoudi â Saudi Arabiaâs second-richest man. The reporter stated the following: âAn Ethiopian American human rights group sent an open letter in 2009 to the Clinton Foundation and the Secretary of Stateâs Office warning that they believed Amoudiâs huge donation was funneled from the Ethiopian government, as Amoudi was not known for his philanthropy.â
The reporter wrote of a murky practice discussed in the Clinton Cash book. This was the use of the special government employee (SGE) by the State Department which allowed some officials to simultaneously work for the State Department and non-government organizations, including the Clinton Foundation. The Senate Judiciary Committee is currently examining Secretary of State Clintonâs use of the SGE after an investigation by ProPublica discovered that there were at least 100 State Department employees who worked for other organizations at the same time.
Schweizer revealed that former President Bill Clintonâs very large speaking fees as a potential avenue to influence Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Chozick explained that the author of the book links the timing of the State Departmentâs generally positive report on the Keystone XL Pipeline with many speeches given by former President Bill Clinton that were paid for by TD Bank, a major shareholder in the project. Chozick wrote that the Clinton Foundationâs finances have come under serious scrutiny ever since President Barack Obama asked the foundation to disclose its donors as a condition of Clintonâs appointment as Secretary of State. The foundation also agreed to stop taking contributions from most foreign governments during Secretary of State Hillary Clintonâs tenure. The Clinton Foundation, when Hillary Clinton was appointed Secretary of State, promised President Barack Obama that it would not accept donations from any additional countries. It would continue to accept donations from those countries that had already made contributions to the foundation which included many Arab nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and others. However, it was recently revealed that this agreement was violated when the foundation accepted millions of dollars from Algeria for the very first time.
Hillary Clinton when questioned in New Hampshire by a reporter regarding this book, she said that the issues raised are simply a âdistraction.â But like other scandals involving Hillary Clinton such as her conduct in Benghazi (What difference does it make!), the Middle Eastern gunrunning operation from Libya to Turkey to Syria, the erasure of thousands emails from a private server in violation of federal law, this new scandal may not go away anytime soon. Hillary Clinton campaign team is planning a full-blown attack, together with the pro-Hillary Clinton liberal media, against Peter Schweizerâs 186-page book Clinton Cash as yet another conservative hit job.
Aviva Shen wrote an article entitled âThe Media is Hyping an Unreleased Anti-Hillary Bookâ for the website Thinkprogress on April 21, 2015. She stated that a Hillary Clinton campaign spokesman, Brian Fallon, stated that the book is part of the Republicansâ coordinated attack strategy on Mrs. Clinton âtwisting previously known facts into absurd conspiracy theories,â and he said âit will not be the first work of partisan-fueled fiction about the Clintonsâ record, and we know it will not be the last.â The timing for Hillary Clinton could not be worse as she begins a campaign declaring herself as a âchampion for everyday Americans.â
Shen explained that Peter Schweizer wrote that from 2001 to 2012, the Clintonsâ income was at least $136.5 million. The author stated the following: âDuring Hillaryâs years of public service, the Clintons have conducted or facilitated hundreds of large transactions with foreign governments and individuals. Some of these transactions have put millions in their own pockets.â
Shen pointed out that last week with all the negative publicity the Clinton Foundation revised its policy to allow donations from countries like Germany, Canada, the Netherlands and Britain but prohibit giving by other nations in the Middle East. The book Clinton Cash also reported the very large payments made to former President Bill Clinton for his speeches, which increased while his wife served as secretary of state. The author pointed out that âof the 13 Clinton speeches that fetched $500,000 or more, only two occurred during the years his wife was not secretary of state.â In 2011, former President Bill Clinton earned $13.3 million in speaking fees for 54 speeches, the majority of which were made overseas, the author writes.
Conclusion
The Clintons have always believed that they are above the law and that rules and regulations that apply to others do not apply to them. Astoundingly, Hillary Clinton stated when she was presenting her new book that at one time she was flat broke. She also lied recently when she stated that all of her grandparents were immigrants.
Similar to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton frequently lies. Similar to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton has been involved in numerous scandals and has committed crimes. Similar to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton believes that she is above the law. Similar to Obama she has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Hillary Clinton, unlike her husband, is not a charming and charismatic politician. She had a poor rollout of her presidential campaign. No matter how hard she has tried to connect with ordinary people, many feel that she lacks authenticity. Together with her campaign staffers, Hillary Clinton is trying very hard to put out the fire brought about from the soon to be released Clinton Cash. Hillary Clinton has a very serious problem and that is that she needs to start putting out fires from the many other scandals that will simply not go away.
Other potential presidential Democratic candidates smell blood in the water as some of Hillary Clintonâs former supporters are abandoning her due to her âbaggageâ. Former Miami democratic Mayor Manny Diaz, for example, was one strong supporter of Hillary Clintonâs 2008 campaign. He is now supporting an event for former Maryland Governor Martin OâMalley. Both Governor OâMalley and former Democratic Senator from Jim Webb from Virginia have gone to Iowa and began to criticize the former first lady.
The fact that the Clinton Foundation has accepted millions from foreign countries and shady individuals over a number of years, which constitute a major scandal could, indeed, derail Hillary Clintonâs presidential campaign. How could Hillary Clinton pretend to be a defender of the rights of women in the United States when she has accepted millions of dollars from Middle Eastern countries where women are severely oppressed and are stoned to death for infidelity?
Hillary Clinton is a tremendous hypocrite! The former first lady is a corrupt and dishonest politician. For the sake of our beloved country, this writer hopes that this terrible scandal will end her presidential campaign.
