Priest Miguel D’Escoto Brockmann was minister of Foreign Relations in the communist Sandinista regime of Nicaragua and also president of the General Assembly of the United Nations. His Holiness Pope Francis ended the punishment of this communist priest, which had been imposed by his Holiness Pope John Paul II for refusing to abandon communist politics.
His Holiness John Paul II, who after his death was canonized, was a great anti-communist and an enemy of the Marxist liberation theology of the Catholic Church. In 1984, his Holiness Pope John Paul II punished Miguel D’Escoto for refusing to get out of politics and did not allow him to officiate masses or offer sacraments.
It was most unfortunate that in August 2014 Pope Francis lifted the Church’s 29-year ban on Maryknoll priest Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann’s right to celebrate Mass and offer sacraments. By taking this unwise action Pope Francis sent the wrong message of tolerance and acceptance to all the communists within the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, many now believe that Pope Francis sympathizes with the Marxist liberation theology of the Church.
After the punishment was lifted by Pope Francis, the communist priest Miguel d’Escoto immediately attacked the late Saint Pope John Paul II for “an abuse of authority.” He also said that Fidel Castro is a messenger of the Holy Spirit in “the necessity of struggle” to establish “the reign of God on this earth that is the alternative to the empire.” Totalitarian dictators Fidel and his brother Raúl Castro were responsible for assassinating 14,000 Cuban patriots, jailing over 300,000, and forcing tens of thousands to leave Cuba in rafts and small boats with an estimated 80,000 perish at sea trying to reach Florida. The serial assassin Fidel Castro is the messenger of the devil!
D’Escoto, age 82, belongs to the Maryknoll Missionary Congregation, which supports the liberation theology. Some Maryknoll nuns have supported and fought with communist guerrillas. Miguel d’Escoto was born in the United States and was ordained in New York in 1961. He became one of the strongest proponents of the Marxist liberation theology. He collaborated with the National Sandinista Liberation Front (Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional).
After the coming to power of the Sandinista dictator Daniel Ortega, the communist priest was named Minister of Foreign Relations. When Miguel d’Escoto became President of the United Nations General Assembly, he chose a communist, Howard Zinn, as his personal assistant. Zinn is the author of a communist textbook, A People’s History of the United States, which is used in many universities across the United States by socialist professors.
Forum of São Paulo
Dictator Daniel Ortega is a strong ally of communist Cuba and the countries that belong to the communist association ALBA, which was founded by the late Venezuelan communist dictator Hugo Chávez. The extreme radical political parties from these nations as well as those from Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina joined the Foro de São Paulo (FSP; English: São Paulo Forum) with the intent of working with Cuba, China, and Russia to bring communism to Latin America. It was launched by the extreme radical Workers’ Party (Partido dos Trabalhadores – PT) of Brazil in 1990 in the city of São Paulo.
The objective of the Forum of São Paulo, which was constituted after the fall of the Berlin Wall, was to attack capitalism and to isolate the United States by surrounding it with enemy nations from Latin America. The first meeting, held in São Paulo in July 1990, was attended by members of 48 extreme radical and Marxist parties and organizations from Latin American and the Caribbean. The original name given to the meeting was Meeting of Left and Anti-imperialist Parties and Organizations of Latin America.
In 1991, São Paulo Forum met in Mexico City. The meetings were held in the following cities: Managua, Nicaragua (1992), Habana, Cuba (1993), Montevideo, Uruguay (1995), San Salvador, El Salvador (1996), Porto Alegre, Brazil (1997), Mexico City, Mexico (1998), Managua (2000), Habana (2001), Antigua, Guatemala (2002), Quito, Ecuador (2003), São Paulo (2005), San Salvador (2007), Montevideo (2008), Mexico City (2009), Buenos Aires, Argentina (2010), Managua (2011), Caracas, Venezuela (2012), São Paulo (2013), and La Paz, Bolivia (2014).
According to the Forum of São Paulo, more than 100 parties and political organizations participate in its conferences today. Their political positions vary across a wide spectrum. These political groups include communist parties, armed guerrilla forces, social–democratic parties, extreme radical labor and social movements inspired by the theology of liberation of the Catholic Church, and anti-imperialist and nationalist organizations. For many years, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC as is known in Spanish) met with the other radical leftist parties. Since 2005, the FARC had been not been allowed to participate.
These political parties and groups differ on a range of topics which go from the use of armed force in revolutions to the support of representative democracy. The Cuban Communist Party, for example, has adopted a single-party system for decades, while Brazil’s Workers’ Party (PT) supports and participates in a multiparty system. Ever since FSP’s first meeting (1990), the approved Declaration expressed the participants’ “willingness to renew leftist and socialist thought…” Hardly any Americans are aware of the danger to our national security present it by the Forum of São Paulo. Obama certainly is not going to tell the nation as he most likely sympathizes with the Marxist and socialist who belong to this anti-American anti-western organization.
Liberation Theology
Thomas D. Williams wrote an article entitled “Highest ranking core war defector: the KGB invented liberation theology” which was published by the website BWCentral.org on May 14, 2015. Williams explained that a three-star general and former head of Communist Romania’s secret police, who defected to the United States in 1978, stated that the theology of liberation was the creation of the Soviet KGB as a way of bringing communism to Latin America and around the world.
Williams stated that Mihai Pacepa has been called “the Cold War’s most important defector.” After his defection, the Romanian totalitarian regime, under the bloody communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, placed “two death sentences and a $2 million bounty on his head.” He pointed out that Pacepa worked more than ten years with the CIA.
Pacepa made, what the agency described as, “an important and unique contribution to the United States.” In fact, he is reported to have given the CIA “the best intelligence ever obtained on communist intelligence networks and internal security services.”
Williams pointed out that the liberation theology has been generally understood to be a marriage of Marxism and Christianity. Pacepa wrote in his recent article that “what has not been understood is that it was not the product of Christians who pursued Communism, but of Communists who pursued Christians.” Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, future Pope’s Benedict XVI, in his role as doctrinal watchdog, called liberation theology a “singular heresy” and a “fundamental threat” to the Church.
Pacepa further explained that he learned details of the KGB involvement with the liberation theology from Soviet General Aleksandr Sakharovsky, the chief foreign intelligence adviser of Romania, who later became head of the Soviet espionage service, the PGU. In 1959, General Sakharovsky went to Romania, together with Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, for what would become known as “Khrushchev’s six-day vacation.” According to Pacepa, Khrushchev “wanted to go down in history as the Soviet leader who had exported communism to Central and South America.” Khrushchev selected Romania since it was the only Latin country in the Soviet bloc and provided an ideal vehicle to Latin America because of the similarity of language and culture.
Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev supported liberation theology as a way to infiltrate communists in the Catholic Church.
Pacepa pointed out that the theology of liberation was not merely infiltrated by the KGB; this theology was actually invented by Soviet intelligence services. Pacepa said that “The movement was born in the KGB, and it had a KGB-invented name: liberation theology.” According to General Aleksandr Sakharovsky, during those years, the KGB liked to use the name liberation for the communist insurgencies throughout the world. Thus, the name theology of liberation was coined.
Mihai Pacepa wrote that the National Liberation Army of Colombia (FARC), created by the KGB with help from Fidel Castro; the National Liberation Army of Bolivia, created by the KGB with help from Ernesto “Che” Guevara; and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), created by the KGB with help from Yasser Arafat were “liberation” movements born at the Lubyanka — the headquarters of the KGB in Moscow, Soviet Union.
Pacepa explained that the liberation theology was born of a 1960s top-secret “Party-State Dezinformatsiya Program.” It was approved by Aleksandr Shelepin, the chairman of the KGB, and by Politburo member Aleksey Kirichenko, who coordinated the Communist Party’s international policies. The program ordered that “the KGB take secret control of the World Council of Churches (WCC), based in Geneva, Switzerland, and use it as cover for converting liberation theology into a South American revolutionary tool.” The KGB knew that the WCC was the largest international ecumenical organization after the Vatican, representing some 550 million Christians of various denominations throughout 120 countries.
According to Pacepa, the KGB established an intermediate international religious organization called the Christian Peace Conference (CPC), headquartered in Prague. Its main objective “was to bring the KGB-created Liberation Theology into the real world.” He explained that “The new Christian Peace Conference was managed by the KGB and was subordinated to the venerable World Peace Council, another KGB creation, founded in 1949 and by then also headquartered in Prague.” In his work with the Soviet bloc intelligence community, Pacepa managed the Romanian operations of the World Peace Council (WPC).
Pacepa wrote the following: “In 1968 the KGB-created Christian Peace Conference, supported by the world-wide World Peace Council, was able to maneuver a group of leftist South American bishops into holding a Conference of Latin American Bishops at Medellín, Colombia. In spite of the fact that the Conference’s objective was to seek solutions to poverty, its undeclared goal was to recognize a new religious movement encouraging the poor to rebel against the ‘institutionalized violence of poverty,’ and to recommend the new movement to the World Council of Churches for official approval. The Medellin Conference achieved both goals. It also bought the KGB-born name Liberation Theology.”
Pacepa stated the following: “I recently glanced through priest Gustavo Gutiérrez’s book, A Theology of Liberation: History, Politics, Salvation (1971), and I had the feeling that it was written at the Lubyanka. No wonder he is now credited with being the founder of Liberation Theology.”
Six years after Pacepa’s defection to the United States, the Vatican issued the first of two very strong critiques of liberation theology under the guidance of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger and His Holiness Pope John Paul II. The Vatican instruction also warned that the theologies of liberation generate “a disastrous confusion between the ‘poor’ of the Scripture and the ‘proletariat’ of Marx.” In so doing, it said, “they pervert the Christian meaning of the poor, and they transform the fight for the rights of the poor into a class fight within the ideological perspective of the class struggle.”
Pacepa concluded his article by saying the following: “Liberation theology was deliberately designed to undermine the Church and destabilize the West by subordinating religion to an atheist political ideology for its geopolitical gain.”
Pope Francis has said that he is opposed the Marxist liberation theology followed by extreme radical priests, nuns, and bishops. Historian Roberto Bosca at the Austral University in Buenos Aires said that Pope Francis supported liberation theology’s preferential option for the poor, although “in a non-ideological fashion.” Before becoming Pope, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio described liberation theology’s preferential option for the poor as part of a long Christian tradition rooted in the Gospels.
Despite his caution about elements of liberation theology, Pope Francis met with Marxist priest Gustavo Gutiérrez who is usually regarded as its founder. Gutiérrez had co-authored a book with Gerhard Ludwig Miller, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Vatican’s semiofficial newspaper L’ Obsservatore Romano said at the time that the liberation theology should not continue to be ignored. Rather than continuing to not ignore it, this writer believes that liberation theology needs to be completely eradicated since communism and the Catholic religion are incompatible. Our Lord Jesus Christ preached liberty from oppression and communism does the opposite.
When Pope Francis was known as Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio he wrote a book, Dialogues Between Pope John Paul II and Fidel Castro (2004) (Diálogos entre Juan Pablo II y Fidel Castro), published in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has demonstrated a rare interest in the affairs of communist Cuba, even saying that the U.S. naval base at Guantánamo should be returned to Cuba. Is that in the Bible?
Pope Francis initiated a unique style in the Vatican such as taking the bus rather than the papal limosine, refusing to move to the beautifully decorated papal apartments, and hearing confessions from ordinary parishioners. He criticized the Vatican by calling it “the trappings of the royal court in Rome a form of leprosy.” The Argentine Pope, in his desire to imitate St. Francis of Assisi, the saint who lived in extreme poverty his entire life, is commendable as well as his concern for the poor throughout the world. However, denouncing capitalism and supporting theology of liberation is not acceptable for it undermines the Church.
One has to look the socialist and communist nations of Latin America, such as Venezuela and Cuba, whose leaders have oppressed and impoverished enormously their people, to know that what Pope Francis advocates is a terrible mistake. Even when you look at the socialist countries of Europe, which are now near bankruptcy for spending money that they did not have, it is obvious that Pope Francis does not understand economics and market-oriented capitalism. The United States and the European countries have printed $11 trillion out of the thin air since 2008 which could bring a worldwide collapse of the financial system.
Pope Francis needs to remember that the two previous popes called the liberation theology a “heresy” and a “fundamental threat” to the Church. Additionally, inviting Muslims to pray in the Vatican and being pro-radical Muslim and anti-Israel are also terrible mistakes. Pope Francis needs to be very careful unless he wants to split the Catholic Church in a major way. Pope Francis promised change, as did Fidel Castro and Barack Obama. There are now millions of Catholics and some priests and bishops who are alarmed of what type of changes Pope Francis wants to implement from the Vatican. This is especially true of those individuals who have lived and suffered under oppressive communist regimes.

His Holiness Pope Francis, who assisted President Barack Obama restore relations with the communist regime of Cuba, met with the bloody dictator Raúl Castro on May 10, 2015 in the Vatican ahead of his trip to Cuba in September 2015. On his way back to Cuba from Moscow, dictator Raúl Castro stopped in Rome to meet Pope Francis to thank him for the Vatican’s mediation between the United States and Cuba.
Alejandro Castro Espín
The Cuban dictator introduced his son Coronel and soon to be General Alejandro Castro Espín, who is the coordinator the military intelligence and counterintelligence operations in the Interior Ministry of Cuba, and his possible heir. He is as ruthless as his father. Alejandro Castro Espín was born July 29, 1965 in Havana. He is the only son of dictator Raúl Castro, and Vilma Espín. Alejandro is the only son of the marriage between Raúl Castro and Vilma Espín and brother of Deborah, Mariela and Nilsa. Since his father, Raúl Castro, came to power, Alejandro has become personal assistant to him.
The bloody tyrant Raúl Castro also introduced Pope Francis his favorite grandson, Guillermo Rodríguez Castro, who is the head of his personal security. Rodríguez Castro’s mother is Deborah Castro Espín. His father is General Luis Alberto Rodríguez who is in charge of all the businesses and corporations owned by the military, including the lucrative tourist industry and the Port of Mariel free trade zone. Thus almost all the businesses in Cuba are in the hands of the dictator and his family. The totalitarian Cuban dictator hopes that communism would last 500 years in the unfortunate island and that his son and grandson could continue to tyrannize the nation after he dies or retires.
Castro also met with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Many freedom-loving Cubans on both sides of the Straits of Florida have denounced the normalization of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba as well as the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
Pope Francis wrote letters to Castro and Obama requesting the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also allowed representatives from the two countries to meet in the Vatican. Pope Francis will stay in communist Cuba for several days in September 2015 and then visit the United States, Vatican sources said. It will be the Argentine pope’s first visit to both countries as pontiff. Both of his predecessors, John Paul II and Benedict XVI, visited Cuba and met Fidel Castro.
On May 15, 2015, Mary Anastasia O’Grady wrote in the Wall Street Journal an article entitled “Behind the Pope’s Embrace of Castro Speculation Runs From a Trojan Horse Plan to Latin American Antipathy of the U.S.” She explained that priest Gustavo Gutiérrez, the Peruvian who launched liberation theology and wrote a book on this topic, was back at the Vatican. He told journalists that the Church never condemned his Marxist theology and praised Pope Francis’ views on poverty. The Peruvian Marxist priest ignores the fact that the two previous popes denounced and suspended many Marxist priests who were adherents of liberation theology.
O’Grady pointed out that the warmth and hospitality that Pope Francis Pope showed to Cuban dictator Raúl Castro at the Vatican has baffled many Catholics. The dictator went to “Rome for a public-relations boost and Pope Francis obliged him.” During their encounter, dictator Castro mocked the Catholic faith by saying “that he would return to the Church if the pope behaved.” He also insulted every Cuban refugee by giving the Pope, of all things, a piece of art done by a Cuban artist depicting a migrant at prayer.
O’Grady wrote that Pope Francis gave the Cuban dictator a copy of his 2013 apostolic exhortation titled “The Joy of the Gospel,” in which he sharply criticizes economic freedom. The Pope is preaching to the converted. As Raúl Castro put it, “The pontiff is a Jesuit, and I, in some way, am too. I studied at Jesuit schools.” O’Grady mentioned the possibility that Pope Francis is hoping to get close to the regime in order to change it. She said the following: “Maybe he has in mind a spiritual version of a Trojan horse that once inside the gates of Cuban hell will unleash an army of angels. With God all things are possible. But I suspect that this papal rapprochement with Castro has more mundane roots.”
O’Grady pointed out that Pope Francis was born in Argentina, a nation that is ideologically defined by nationalism, socialism, corporatism, and anti-Americanism. She said that “It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that this influences his views toward the U.S. and the island 90 miles from its shores.”
This writer believes that Pope Francis has a lot in common with President Obama since both of them like socialism and are anti-American. Why would the Pope state that the United States should give back its naval base at Guantánamo to Cuba? The Pope may be infallible in matters of religion, however, when he meddles in politics and economics, he could be very wrong and opens himself to be severely criticize by those who believe in limited government, free markets and are anti-communists.
O’Grady said that some Catholics have tried to excuse Pope Francis’s hostility toward economic freedom and market economics in “The Joy of the Gospel” by saying that he grew up in a corrupt state-run economy. However, she pointed out the following: “This is nonsense. Argentine statism explicitly denounces market economics. I can only speculate about the Holy Father’s Cuba views. But he is earning a dubious political reputation.”
Upon becoming Pope, His Holiness Francis was praised by all Marxist Catholic religious officials who practice liberation theology throughout the world. They now think that they have an ally in the Vatican. It seems that Pope Francis has implemented a complete reversal of the policy practiced by His Holiness John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope emeritus Benedict XVI, who expelled thousands of priests who practiced liberation theology throughout the world. This is very sad and alarming!
Who is communist priest Gustavo Gutiérrez known as the father of liberation theology?
Gustavo Gutiérrez was born on June 8, 1928 in the Monserratbarrio of Lima, Peru. He is of Indian (Quechua) and Spanish heritage. Gutiérrez studied medicine and literature in Peru. From 1951 to 1955, he studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Louvain in Belgium. From 1955 to1959, Gutiérrez studied at the University of Lyons where he received his Ph.D. in Theology. At both European universities, Gutiérrez continued his studies of Karl Marx. He had studied Marxism earlier in Lima. His experiences and learning in Europe were important for the development of liberation theology.
In 1959, at the age of 31, Gutiérrez returned to Lima and decided to infiltrate the Catholic Church as Nikita Khrushchev wanted. He was ordained as a priest in the same year. As has been explained earlier, the Soviet KGB had already made plans to use the Church to bring communism to Latin America and the world. As a parish priest, he began working as a tutor in the Department of Theology and Social Science at the Catholic University of Lima. He holds the John Cardinal O’Hara Professorship of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. He has been professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a visiting professor at many major universities in North America and Europe.
Gustavo Gutiérrez is a Peruvian theologian and Dominican communist priest who is considered as the father of liberation theology.
It was an outraged that the University of Notre Dame hired this Peruvian communist priest! This radical Catholic University gave an honorary degree to Obama, who voted in the Illinois legislature in favor of late birth abortion which is infanticide. Obama felt right at home with some of the Catholic liberation theology professors at this university.
Gutiérrez incorporated Marx’s critiques of ideology, class, and capitalism as part of his theological analysis. He used Marxist ideas regarding class struggle, private ownership of the means of production, and critiques of capitalism. Pope Francis has also frequently criticized capitalism and income inequality. However, there is more poverty and income inequality, as well as less freedom and liberty, in socialist countries.

liberation theology and I told him that I had attended more masses that he had.” What the Cuban bloody dictator meant was that he wants to implement communism within the Catholic Church in Cuba and throughout the world.
Interestingly, Barack Obama attended for 20 years the pro-Muslim Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. His pastor, Jeremiah Wright, practiced the black liberation theology, which is of Marxist origin. Reverend Wright constantly praised Fidel Castro and the communist Sandinistas in his sermons. He also attacked the United States government and whites in the nation. Pastor Wright instead of saying God bless America, he said God damn America since this nation is the worst country in the world. Barack and Michelle Obama never minded their pastor’s racist and anti-patriotic incendiary sermons while they attended that church for two decades.
On December 17, 2014, President Barack Obama and dictator Raúl Castro announced the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two nations. At that time both of them praised the mediation done by Pope Francis. The Vatican assumed an important role in these negotiations.
The Vatican announced the visit of Pope Francis to Cuba
The Vatican and Catholic Conference of Cuban Bishops announced that Pope Francis would visit Cuba from September 19 to September 22, 2015. The Pope will begin in Havana and later visit the cities of Holguín and Santiago de Cuba. He will then visit the shrine of the Virgin of Charity, the patron of Cuba (Santuario del Cobre). This church is located 20 kilometers to the west of the city of Santiago de Cuba.
Pope Francis would be the third pontiff to visit the island in 17 years. The first one was Saint John Paul II, who went to Cuba in 1998. Later, on His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI visited Cuba. There is no doubt that priests, nuns, and bishops of the Church in Cuba are doing an extraordinary job helping the impoverished Cubans of all ages. However, it is most unfortunate that Cardinal Jaime Ortega Alamino is a traitor who works for the government. He recently lied to defend the tyranny and said that there were no political prisoners in the oppressed island.
Pope Francis will visit the United States
Pope Francis will arrive in New York City in late September 2015 and then visit Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He will speak before a joint session of Congress. White House officials are delighted with the Pope’s visit and have worked with the former ambassador to the Vatican, Kent Hackett, to persuade the Pope on what to say. Obama wants Pope Francis to speak on the dangers of global warming, income inequality and the need to spread the wealth. Obama said, “I can’t wait to host him.” Obama is so arrogant and narcissistic that he wants the Pope to follow his radical Marxist pro-Muslim agenda and even suggesting him what to say in America.
The president must have been delighted when Pope Francis recognized the Palestinian Authority as a nation (even though it is not) and called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas “an Angel of Peace.” This writer guesses that Pope Francis must believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “a Devil of War.” Never mind that the Palestinian Authority organized a government of unity with the terror organization Hamas, a political party founded by the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt in Gaza. Never mind that Hamas has attacked Israel many times, even building tunnels with funds from the terrorist-supporting nation of Qatar to assassinate Israeli soldiers. Now Pope Francis wants to canonize an anti-Semitic priest.
Pope Francis certainly is not a friend of Israel and neither is Obama. It seems that both of them have a lot in common, except for the issues of same-sex marriage, abortion, infanticide, and forcing the Church to provide for abortion, contraceptive, and sterilization in the health insurance plans offered to its employees at schools and hospitals.
Just as liberation theology religious officials were delighted with the election of Pope Francis to the Holy Seed, radical leftist and Marxist politicians in the United States admire the Argentinian Pope. Pope Francis’s writings are similar in the area of economic theory to the socialist policies of many Democratic Party politicians. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton praises Pope Francis as does Marxist Senator and presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders.
There is one major problem for Obama and the Pope and that is that socialist economic policies increase poverty and bankrupt countries as has been demonstrated throughout history. Being concerned for the poor is meaningless for both the Pope and Obama since the socialist economic policies that they both advocate damage the economy, increase poverty and unemployment, and increase the dependence of citizens on an all-powerful and controlling government. This type of government also reduces liberty and freedom of opportunity.
President Barack Obama stated that he wants to visit communist Cuba
The White House spokesman, Josh Earnest, stated that he is sure that Obama “will not turn down the opportunity to travel to the island, if he has an opportunity to do it.” President Barack Obama stated the following: “I am a man very young, so I imagine that at some moment of my life I would have the opportunity to visit Cuba.”
In spite of all the many concessions given by President Obama to the bloody dictator of Cuba, the repression in the island against peaceful opponents is worse than ever. There has been absolutely no progress regarding the respect for human and civil rights in the island. The Cuban dictator has not offered a single concession to the United States and has stated that communism in Cuba would last 500 years.
Cuban dictator Raúl Castro wants the United States to lift completely, what is left of, the commercial embargo. He also wants millions of American tourists to come to the island to stay in the hotels of the communist regime and use their airplanes and buses to enrich the Castro brothers and the high-ranking officials of the Armed Forces. Additionally, the Cuban dictator would like American multinationals to build factories in Cuba in the Port of Mariel, one of the most modern in the world, built by Brazilian corporation Odebrecht. Already some European multinationals are planning to build factories there to use the enslaved and cheap labor of the island.

These multinationals would like to use the enslaved labor of Cuban workers who earn $20 a month to maximize their profits. In this manner, the Cuban dictator can pass the power to his son, soon to be general Alejandro Castro Espín, when he retires or dies.
Tyrant Raúl Castro would like the multinationals from the United States and other parts of the world to convert Cuba in the China of the Caribbean. In this manner, the communist regime could continue forever and the Castro brothers and the relatives of the highest ranking members of the Armed Forces could increase their wealth and perpetuate themselves in power in that unfortunate island.
An American ambassador in Havana?
On May 12, 2015, Raúl Castro made new outrageous demands upon the United States. The Cuban dictator stated the following: “With the exchange of ambassadors, we will improve relations. But in order to normalize relations, they would have to lift completely the blockade and return the naval base at Guantánamo.”
The Cuban dictator added, “I told President Obama that I am very worried that American diplomats will continue doing the illegal things that they do now, or they have been doing up to now. These things cannot be done.”
The Cuban dictator wants the American diplomats to stop meeting with opponents and free journalists of his regime at the American Interest Section in Havana as well as in their homes. This is another outrageous demand since U.S. diplomats all over the world meet with opponents of the government where they serve.
This issue was addressed recently at the fourth negotiating session in Washington and has not been resolved. Castro could appoint a Cuban ambassador to the United States and President Obama will accept it. However, the Republican-controlled Senate should reject any person named by Obama to be ambassador to Cuba, as Senator Marco Rubio recently said, until the Castro regime fully complies with the Helms-Burton Law approved by Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton.

Genocide against Christians
More than one million Christians have been assassinated, shot, crucified, decapitated, thrown overboard from boats to drown, or burned alive during the last decade. Recently, a boat full of immigrants from Africa who were trying to reach Italy as illegal aliens were thrown off the boat by Muslims because they were Christians. Murders of Christians are occurring in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Millions of Christians have fled the Middle East to avoid being killed. However, there seems to be a conspiracy of silence in the United States and Europe with respect to this ongoing horrific genocide.
Each hour, 11 Christians are killed in the Middle East. In 2000, the Christian population in the Middle East was 20%. Today, it is barely 3%. The media in the United States and Europe barely discusses this shameful genocide and systematic ethnic cleaning of Christians. Unless the press writes about this genocide, people in the West are not going to demand their governments to stop it.
President Obama is fearful to discuss the Christian genocide for fear of offending Muslims. The president does not even use the word “Islamic terrorists” and has forbidden the use of that word by members of his administration. He has never spoken clearly to the nation about the immense danger of radical Islam. Yet, this conspiracy of silence must be broken!
Future generations would look at our beloved country and the West and wonder why our government and the governments of the nations of Europe did so little to help Christians in the Middle East. How many more thousands of Christians need to die, Christian women raped and sold into slavery, and their churches burned for the United States and the West to act?
South Florida Archbishop Thomas Wenski denounced the Christian genocide
Archbishop Thomas Wenski wrote an editorial entitled “Peace Requires Religious Freedom” which was published in the Florida Catholic newspaper May 2015 issue. He stated the following: “Fifteen years into the 21st century, some 150,000 Christians are killed for the faith every year. In the 20th century, some 45 million Christians died because of their faith. What perhaps distinguishes what happened in the 20th century from what is happening now is that in the 20th century religion was persecuted by essentially God-less ideologies, but in the 21st century some of the greatest crimes are being perpetrated by those who claim to be acting in the name of God.
While atrocities are committed against peoples and institutions of all the world’s religions, the International Society for Human Rights estimates that 80% of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today our directed at Christians. The plight of Christians in the Middle East should concern us all, for Christianity may soon disappear in the region where the Gospel was first preached. At the same time, however, we cannot be indifferent to those Christian suffering persecution in other parts of the world, especially in the Asian subcontinent and in Africa. The Age of Martyrs, as Pope Francis has pointed out, did not end with the Peace of Constantine. In fact, they are more martyrs today than there were in the first centuries of the Christian faith”.
Interestingly, Archbishop Wenski has gone to Cuba with previous popes and more than likely will visit the oppressed island when Pope Francis arrives in Havana. Perhaps, both of them should tell the bloody Cuban dictator to bring back from Venezuela the Cuban Occupation Army and the Cuban secret police that support the communist regime of Nicholás Maduro. This regime continues to support the terrorist organization Hezbollah by sending funds raised through drug trafficking organization. This terror organization is the armed militia of Iran in Lebanon and works closely with Iran. Hezbollah and Iran have assassinated and imprisoned many Christians as well as Jews. It is one thing to denounce the ongoing Christian genocide, and another thing to support Cuba which is involved indirectly in the assassination of Christians in the Middle East.
Venezuelan officials with the help of the Cuban Occupation Army and the Cuban secret police support Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iran
Antonio María Delgado wrote an article entitled “Hombre buscado por el FBI es enlace del chavismo con Hezbolá” (Man Wanted by the FBI is the Liaison of Venezuela with Hezbollah) which was published by el Nuevo Herald on February 1, 2015. Delgado explained that Ghazi Nasr al-Din, who was born in Lebanon and became a Venezuelan citizen and diplomat, joined the list of terrorists wanted by the FBI. The Lebanese Islamic terrorist Ghazi Nasr al-Din works closely with another Islamic terrorist, Tarek El Aissami, who is governor of the Venezuelan state of Aragua. El Aissami is the principal liaison between Venezuelan and Hezbollah, Iran’s militia in Lebanon. Hezbollah was founded by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Delgado explained that al-Din is one of the most important officials of Hezbollah in Latin America. His main job is to raise money for Hezbollah to finance its terrorist activities in Lebanon. In order to do this, the FBI believes al-Din is involved in the selling of drugs to finance Hezbollah. Everyone is aware that Venezuela has become a narco nation. Its high ranking officials and generals participate in the export of drugs to the United States and other nations throughout the world. The United States has investigated the high ranking generals involved in drug trafficking and the role of the powerful Diosdado Cabello, the head of the Venezuelan legislature, in what is known as the “Cartel de los Soles.” The United States Treasury Department has long identified al-Din as an important agent of Hezbollah. The FBI has accused this Lebanese-born terrorist from Venezuela to use his cover as a diplomat to provide financial support to Hezbollah.
This writer recommends that President Obama needs to do what President George H.W. Bush did a few years ago in Panama. In 1989, the United States invaded Panama and removed dictator Manuel Noriega from power. He was captured as a prisoner of war and then flown to the United States. Noriega was tried on eight counts of drug trafficking, racketeering, and money laundering in April 1992 and served many years in prison in Miami-Dade County. By capturing Panama’s pro-Cuban dictator Noriega, who like many generals and officials of the Venezuelan regime was heavily involved in drug trafficking, the United States removed a cancer from Central America.

Adam J. Szubin, former director of Office of Foreign Control of Assets of the Treasury Department (OFAC), said the following: “It is extremely alarming that Venezuela is employing and giving sanctuary to a major financier of Hezbollah. When the current dictator Nicolás Maduro was minister of Foreign Affairs under the regime of dictator Hugo Chávez, he appointed al-Din to diplomatic a post so that this Islamic terrorist could move freely throughout the Middle East and coordinate all the operations of Hezbollah in Venezuela.”
With the assistance of the Cuban Occupation Army, Venezuela supports the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which presents a major national security danger to our nation, in addition to our ally Israel. Delgado explained the following: “According to the Department of Treasury, Nasr al-Din, has advised the donors of Hezbollah of all they need to do to find money and deposit in banks that send the money directly to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Anytime that this Islamic terrorist encountered a problem, he contacted directly Nicholás Maduro, jumping the organization chart. He had a direct line to communicate with Chancellor Maduro.”

Delgado pointed out that El Aissami has created an organization to support and finance Hezbollah and its operations in Latin America. He stated the following: “The governor of Aragua has established its prominent position in the regime by establishing networks of specialists in intelligence and financing Islamic countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Iran. Over the years, Tarek El Aissami has established a sophisticated financial organization at multiple levels which operates as a criminal organization in order to bring Islamic jihadists to Venezuela and other Latin American countries and to finance the illegal terrorist organizations from Latin America to the Middle East.” He has created approximately 40 ghost companies with accounts in 36 banks in Venezuela, Panamá, Curacao, St. Lucie, Miami and Lebanon.”

Titled “A Message in Blood to the People of the Cross,” the video was stylistically similar to previous Islamic State videos. These horrific killings indicate the expansion of the Islamic Caliphate, which already controls Yemen with an Iranian-supported militia, a third of Syria and Iraq, and parts of Libya, a nation that is less than 500 miles from the southern tip of Italy. One of the terrorists in the video makes direct reference to that possibility by indicating that the group now plans to “conquer Rome.”

Recommendations by this writer to Pope Francis and President Obama
The communist ideology has been condemned by many popes during the 20th century and in many documents of the Vatican. Communism has been referred by the Vatican as “basically perverse.” Therefore, Pope Francis should not be helping communist dictators who oppress their people in Cuba or throughout the world. When Pope Francis became an intermediary to convince President Obama to restore relations with Cuba, he gave the tyranny in the island many economic benefits that will assist the regime to prolong its power in the unfortunate island.
Pope Francis wants to forget the thousands of crimes committed over the last 56 years by military dictatorship of the Castro brothers. The Argentine Pope does not want to remember the tens of thousands of Cubans who before they were shot on the wall said “Long live Christ the King!” Before they were executed, these anti-Communist patriots, the regime took out most of their blood to sell it abroad. The Cuban tyranny not only is cruel, bloody and inhumane, but also has become a Dracula nation. The Castro brothers and the communist tyranny that they implanted in Cuba not only destroyed the island, but also destroyed many other nations in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The Castro brothers are directly responsible for the tens of thousands of people who have died or been injured in the communist insurgencies that they supported for many decades.
Pope Francis, as Barack Obama does, preaches the spreading of the wealth among the poor and constantly criticizes capitalism. Therefore, when Pope Francis visits Cuba, he should tell the Castro brothers and the highest ranking members of the Armed Forces and officials of the regime to return the billions of dollars that they have stolen over the last 56 years from the oppressed Cuban people. Now it is very important and necessary for Pope Francis to denounce the crimes and constant violation of human and civil rights by the Cuban regime. He should use his influence with the Cuban dictator to demand an end to the oppression against those patriots in Cuba who want liberty and freedom. If he does not do it, Pope Francis will become a supporter of the tyranny, as Barack Obama has now done.
Pope Francis has denounced on many occasions the ongoing genocide against Christians around the world and especially in the Middle East. Over the last decade, one million Christians have been assassinated in the Middle East and during the 20th century 45 million Christians have been assassinated throughout the world. Pope Francis conveniently forgets that the Cuban regime, which has a Cuban Occupation Army in Venezuela of thousands of soldiers, has assisted Venezuela in providing financial support to Hezbollah, the Iranian militia in Lebanon, as well as to other terror groups which have assassinated tens of thousands of Christians and Jews. It was a terrible mistake for Pope Francis to call the head of the Palestinian Authority “an Angel of Peace” and open diplomatic relations with the non-existing Palestinian nation.
Pope Francis and Barack Obama have done nothing to advance the defense of human rights and the fundamental liberties of the Cuban people. They have not supported the opponents of the regime, who were not involved in the negotiations. They have not supported the Cuban patriots who want democracy and freedom. They have not demanded the release of all political prisoners (one prisoner has been incarcerated for 38 years), some others have been imprisoned for almost 30 years. Neither Obama nor Pope Francis has demanded that Cuba respect each and every one of the human rights that are recognized by the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Cuba signed many years ago. Neither has demanded a dismantling of the secret police operated by thugs of the secret police (which in Cuba is called Seguridad del Estado), utilize to oppress the Cuban people. Neither has demanded free and fair elections and the establishment of a democratic nation in the Fatherland of José Martí.
Obama stated that restoring diplomatic relations in Cuba and ending the commercial embargo would bring an end to the repressive Cuban regime. He knows that this is not true. China and Vietnam were recognized diplomatically by the United States and multinationals invested heavily in those two nations. Yet, as the economy improved in China and Vietnam, those tyrannical regimes continued to persecute their opponents and failed to establish a democracy. If anything, improving economically totalitarian regimes gives them more power and resources to continue to oppress their people. It is very sad to help economically the Cuban communist regime which has increased the repression against peaceful opponents since the announcement of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.
Now that Barack Obama has taken Cuba off the list of nations which sponsor terrorism, the Cuban regime will be eligible to receive loans from International Monetary Fund and other international financial organizations that are supported by taxpayers in the United States. Cuba, of course, has never paid a loan given by any nation. If the United States or international financial organizations would lend money to Cuba in the future, the communist regime will steal those funds and will never pay back the loans. American taxpayers will suffer, but apparently neither Pope Francis nor Barack Obama seemed to care. It was shameful that the Republican-controlled Congress did not put up a fight over this outrageous and new infamy made by the Marxist who lives in the White House.
The date of December 17, 2014 will be considered in history as a day of infamy and high treason to Cubans within and without the island who fight for freedom and liberty.
