QUESTIONS FOR BERNIE SANDERS

bernie-sandersDuring the recent Democrat Party presidential debate, Senator Bernie Sanders spoke repeatedly about income inequality in American society. Senator Sander’s criticism is common among leftist politicians. However, the reality of financial inequality is very different. Nowhere in the world is there “income equality”. In capitalist countries, income depends on a person’s profession, experience and personal qualification. In socialist countries, the government dictates an individual’s income.

Bernie Sanders’ remarks ignored an important fact: the average income per family in America is $50,000-$54,000 a year. Surprisingly, leftists like Bernie Sanders criticize the economic advantages and opportunities found in the U.S., but are silent concerning the misery and poverty afflicting countries ruled by Socialism.

Senator Sanders seems to deny the fact that American wages are higher than most countries, regardless of job or profession. This is precisely the reason why so many people immigrate to the United States, legally and illegally.

America is the dream destination for millions. Furthermore, year after year immigrants from around the globe risk their lives to enter the U.S.. Some, like the thousands of Cubans who disappear in the ocean, never make it.

Senator Sanders, have you ever asked yourself why millions of people continue to flee Marxist socialist countries to move to capitalist nations like the United States? If socialist Marxism is the best system of government in the world, why does no one jump into the ocean from Florida to reach Cuba? No one flees their country unless they suffer from persecution or are looking for a better standard of living.

Like all leftists populists, Bernie Sanders promises utopia but does not tell us who will cover the cost of his social programs. The Senator reminds me of Hugo Chavez, who also promised heaven on earth before coming into power. Chavez also spoke of different social classes, economic inequality, free education, and free healthcare-the utopian world of socialism-.

Senator Sanders, can we let Americans know the daily income of a Chinese worker or a Cuban employee? Can we tell them the “income inequality” between Marxist socialist leaders and the people they subjugate? Do you think the Castro brothers, Nicolas Maduro, or any other communist leader share the same income and standard of living as the citizens of their countries? Are you aware that a Cuban doctor does not make more than 40 to 60 dollars a month? Are these examples of justice and income equality?

Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed socialist, criticizes the rich who oppose his leftist agenda, but defends millionaires (such as Hillary Clinton) that align with his political vision. Senator Sanders, if you disagree with the corruption involved with big companies and corporations why don’t you mention Hilary Clinton’s? Hillary Clinton represents the essence of the corrupt millionaires who you continuously put down, yet you chose to remain silent about Mrs. Clinton.

You also talk about the need for a socialist revolution in the United States. Can you mention any Marxist socialist revolution that was actually successful? Furthermore, how many people in the world paid with their lives when a communist revolution was imposed on their countries? The number of people killed and mourned in China, Vietnam, Cuba, North Korea, the Soviet Union and Venezuela speaks for themselves.

In the United States we’ve had revolutions, but different ones. Our revolutions fought for freedom, independence and economic prosperity. What do you think of the results of the eight-year peaceful economic revolution of Ronald Reagan? How about when compared to the decades of oppressive Marxist socialist revolutions like the Soviet Union or Cuba?

Bernie Sanders has been a proponent of socialism for years. The senator has been criticized for being sympathetic to communist Sandinistas in Nicaragua and the Venezuelan government of Hugo Chavez. Both countries are submerged in economic and social chaos due to years of socialist oppression.

Venezuela now has one of the worst rates of inflation, unemployment and crime in the world. Senator Sanders, do you think that Daniel Ortega or Hugo Chavez’s socialism worked? Is this the model of government that you admire and wish to implement in the United States?

And please, do not try to convince us that you are simply a “democratic socialist”. Those of us who are aware of the truth know that 21st century socialism is nothing but masked communism. You, as a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, should be well aware of the true purpose of the American left.

I wonder if the young people who support the candidacy of Bernie Sanders know that in America they make more money in a day than what many people earn in a month in a socialist/communist country.

During a previous interview with CNBC, Senator Sanders even mentioned the possibility of raising taxes to 90%. Bernie, if this is your plan, would you please tell young graduates of American universities that under your administration they can keep only 10% of their future salaries?

Finally, as an immigrant who came to this country seeking a better future and the American dream, I can say with certainty that no one migrates to the United States in search of socialism or another one of its hypocritical leaders.
