LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Andrea Tantorus of Fox News “Outnumbered” was exactly right when she stated “Never Trump and never Cruz equals always Hillary” and she is a Trump supporter.
All Republicans and Independents who care about this country should vote for the last Republican standing even if the eventual nominee is not their first choice. For any leftist reading this, YES I am implying that neither Hillary Clinton nor Bernie Sanders would be good for our country as POTUS.
I am seeing #NeverTrump and #NeverCruz all over Twitter along with way too much malicious name calling and vitriol. Republicans, Conservatives and/or Independents so stubborn that they will not vote or will write in a candidate if their person doesn’t get the nomination are just plain down stupid, non-sequiturs who apparently don’t care about the future of our country.
This is exactly what 2-3 M registered Republicans and many others inclined center-right did in 2012 by not voting or writing in someone because they didn’t like Romney and, in so doing, helped re-elect the worst POTUS in our history with a totally failed 1st Term who has been even worse his 2nd term.
Who in their right mind, among those who love liberty, will foster hate for Trump or Cruz so bad that they will help Hillary or Bernie become POTUS by not voting, writing in someone with no chance of being elected or even voting for them? The cost of all the freebies offered by Hill and Bern will bankrupt this country and can’t come close to being paid even with a 99% tax on the rich. So who will pay – the working middle class, that’s who.
Another 8 years of a Socialist POTUS and we can kiss our Constitutional Republic, national security and most of the Bill of Rights goodbye.
