Obama promised this would be the most transparent administration in the history of the United States. It appears that’s not coming to fruition, yet we don’t have the New York Times or the Washington Post dispatching an armada of reporters to dig out the truth.
So here’s a gut check to see if you’re an American. When you see the photo or video of our U.S. Sailors on their knees at gun point by the Iranians, does your blood boil and your heart race with anger? How ‘bout the fact that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry praised and thanked the Iranians for their care of our Sailors? Well, coming on the heels of the Ben Rhodes revelation about the Iranian nuclear deal lies, hold onto your chair folks.
As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, “The classified details behind Iran’s treatment of several U.S. sailors who were captured by the Islamic Republic during a tense standoff earlier this year are likely to shock the nation, according to one member of the House Armed Services Committee, who disclosed to the Washington Free Beacon that these details are currently being withheld by the Obama administration.
Rep. Randy Forbes (R., Va.) told the Free Beacon in an interview that the Obama administration is still keeping details of the maritime incident under wraps. It could be a year or longer before the American public receives a full accounting of the incident, in which several U.S. sailors were abducted at gunpoint by the Iranian military.
“I’ve had a full classified briefing” from military officials, Forbes told the Free Beacon. “It could be as long as a year before we actually get that released.”
Details of the abduction are likely to start an uproar in the nation and call into question the Obama administration’s handling of the incident, which many experts say violated international and maritime law.
“I think that when the details actually come out, most Americans are going to be kind of taken aback by the entire incident, both how Iran handled it and how we handled it,” Forbes disclosed. “I think that’s going to be huge cause for concern for most Americans. That’s why I’ve encouraged members of Congress to get that briefing so they do know exactly what did take place.”
Forbes suggested that Iran’s treatment of the U.S. sailors—which included filming them crying and forcing them to apologize at gunpoint—may have been much worse than what has been publicly reported. “I think clearly there were violations of international and maritime law that took place here,” Forbes said. “We [the United States] did almost nothing in response, in fact, to have Secretary [of State John] Kerry actually thank them for releasing our sailors after they way they captured them, I think was a slap in the sailors’ face.”
First of all, I know Rep. Randy Forbes and his family, and there’s no finer man on Capitol Hill than he. I absolutely trust his statements and judgment. And I have to ask, why is it that it will take a year or more to find out the truth about what happened behind the Riverine assault boat capture by the Iranians? We continue to have the stall treatment regarding the Benghazi incident, which occurred in 2012. Do any of you think this would stand with a Republican president?
Transparency? Seriously?
But again, we must ask, why is the media concerned about Donald Trump possibly doing advertisements for himself back in 1995? Why is the New York Times interviewing women and distorting their words?
So when will the media demand to know the story behind what happened with our ten Sailors? Ok, that’s a rhetorical question because we all know the answer: they won’t because they don’t care.
Here’s my reason for supporting Donald Trump for president in November: because I want these people held accountable for what they’ve done. I don’t care who it is — I want Barack Obama, John Kerry, Valerie Jarrett, Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, Josh Earnest, Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch and the entire cast of kids who never got picked to play to stand before the American people.
And folks that isn’t going to happen if it’s a president Hillary Clinton, or God help us, Bernie Sanders. I’m not talking about retribution. I’m talking about people who have purposefully deceived the American people and they should not go unpunished.
Now, I’m not focused on them going to jail, but the American people need the truth and every one of these liars should be disgraced and certainly not provided any services and privileges paid for by the American taxpayer.
We need to know about the 28 pages regarding Saudi Arabia. And we need to know about what happened to our ten Sailors.
We need to send letters of support to Rep. Forbes and other Congressional members to demand full disclosure of the incident behind the Riverine assault boat seizure. The U.S. Navy has standing orders that no vessel captain shall surrender his ship nor Sailors — so what happened?
And we don’t need to wait for a year or more to know. If the lazy, complicit, and partisan liberal progressive media wanted to know, they’d do something — but we cannot trust them. So, even with the freedom of the press, they choose where to levy the power of their freedom.
I want to know what happened. The question is, how many of you do as well?
