I’m still somewhat perplexed at the progressive socialist left’s response since the November 8th presidential election. It’s truly as if they didn’t receive the memo sent by the American people.
I mean c’mon, all of a sudden the left wants us to believe they care about the thoughts of our Founding Fathers, you know, those “slave-owning” gentlemen? The left are now champions of the Constitution and defenders of the Federalist Papers? The recent groaning advertisement of Hollywood actors towards the electors who are to fulfill their duties today was rather interesting.
And we even have threats of impeachment — already — from the left if Donald Trump does not “divest” himself of all of his privately owned businesses. Funny, you never heard the left say anything about the Clinton Foundation and all of its questionable activities. As well, when Barack Obama was doing his executive actions, some in violation of the Constitution, any mention of impeachment against him was deemed “racist.”
And now we know there’ll be a full blown move by the left to establish a well-funded insurgency against the Trump administration, led by billionaires Tom Steyer and George Soros. Hmm, I thought it was the Republicans who had all those “rich white guys.” I know, the hypocrisy is laughable. Just like first lady Michelle Obama saying back in 2008, that for the first time in her life, she was proud of her country. You know, she had the belief that hope was finally coming to America. In other words, it was all about her and her husband. That’s seemingly true now, since Mrs. Obama now says there’s no hope because, well, they’re leaving.
You see, for the liberal progressive socialist left, it’s not about we the people, it’s about them, and attaining and maintaining their power. And when they lose it, they react abhorrently, as their belief is in an entitlement to power. Their message is that you, the people, the serfs, mean little to them as opposed to their designs to fundamentally transform America. The words of Michelle Obama were so very condescending to the American people, that we no longer have hope — translation, Obama is no longer president.
This is the United States of America, not the united cities of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia, Houston, and other major urban centers run by the left. These urban centers don’t determine the future, the course of our Republic. Yet, it’s from these urban centers run by the left that we witness an act of belligerence. And this goes back to the liberal progressive hypocrisy of situational unrighteous indignation regarding our U.S. Constitution. Because they certainly don’t give a hoot about the rule of law when it comes to the safety and security of their fellow citizens.
As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Illegal immigrants with criminal records, the deportation priority of President-elect Trump, total at least 820,000, with most having felony and serious misdemeanor convictions, according to a new report.
Some estimates have suggested up to two million criminal illegals, but the numbers cited by the Center for Immigration Studies still show an enormous group larger than the populations of four states, Alaska, North Dakota, Vermont or Wyoming. The immigration think tank cited numbers from the Urban Institute. That group downplayed the crimes and also questioned deporting any of those who are parents of children who might get left behind.
“Some estimates say that there are only 820,000 undocumented immigrants with criminal records in the country, including 690,000 with a felony or serious misdemeanor conviction,” said that report. CIS fellow David North blogged: Those cheerful souls at UI were arguing against the concept that the number might be higher, and noted that some of the 820,000 “have likely committed relatively minor crimes.
“They missed the point, I guess, that an illegal alien with a shoplifting record, for example, is an illegal alien who does not belong here in the first place.”
Ask yourself, is it truly a winning message for the left, and those Democrat mayors, to make the obtuse statement of declaring themselves sanctuary cities? And these individuals specifically stated they will not cooperate with the incoming Trump administration regarding turning over criminal illegal aliens to federal authorities.
We’re not talking about families, but rather those here illegally, who are further breaking our laws and committing further crimes against our citizenry. The talk about Donald Trump not being fit to be president is deplorable, but what about these mayors such as in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco? Here are elected municipal officials, such as Rahm Emanuel and Bill de Blasio, who are defending and providing aid and comfort to those who have disrespected our rule of law, and are also endangering the lives of American citizens.
And Mrs. Obama is telling us there’s a feeling of hopelessness in America? No ma’am, there is indeed a feeling of hope for America because the dangerous policies of the left are about to end. There is hope for those who’ve lost their loved ones to criminal illegal aliens. There’s hope for those who live in fear knowing that maybe, just maybe, these pockets of criminal illegals will be confronted, and eliminated so they can live safely.
There’s hope in America that our rule of law will once again be respected and not just touted and “cherry picked” for ideological agendas. We have a former U.S. Marine general nominated for the position of secretary of Homeland Security, so there is hope that this guardian and capable man will protect our homeland…far unlike the sycophant currently occupying the position.
It is unconscionable to know that here in America we have a group of individuals who would shelter those who have and will continue to harm our citizens. And the left actually believes this is a winning message?
These mayors truly believe this is something worth defending? That, Mrs. Obama, is not “hope;” that is idiotic, and not in keeping with our Constitution. And it was your husband, Barack Obama, who endeavored to enact policies contrary to our rule of law, all for what? Some insidious definition of hope that’s inconsistent with the principles and values of our Constitutional Republic.
The American people found no hope in the goals of fundamentally transforming our country. And the sad reality is that the goodwill of the American people provided to you and your husband was returned with utter disdain, disregard and disrespect.
There is no hope in the racial divisiveness in which we now live in America. There is no hope when illegals can just pour into our nation, commit crimes, and find sanctuary away from law enforcement. Look into the eyes of the Steinle family and ascertain if they have hope — they certainly don’t have their daughter Kate who was gunned down by a criminal illegal alien who’d been deported multiple times.You see, Mrs. Obama, the hope is that this will no longer be the case — we can only pray so.
However, it is the delusion of the progressive socialist left to dig in their heels harder after the election. What they will come to find is that real hope, rooted in our fundamental American principles, values and traditions, has indeed returned. The left put their hope in the most progressive, far left president America has ever seen. And in so doing, find themselves having lost the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, governorships, and state legislatures. The hope has returned to America. We have awakened from a very bad dream. And those who believe we should return to that nightmare — well, that dog don’t hunt.
